We are sending 3 players down this year, dee brown, brian chase, and roger powell. Then if we need either one, we can send for them. CJ needed that time last year in the D league to get some minutes in for expiernece. Now that he has that, he worked hard over the offseason, and has done everything sloan asked him to do. So if those things happen, sloan is somewhat forced to play him, lol.

I agree with sending Chase and Powell down, but Dee Brown??  That makes zero sense in my book, sorry. First, the guy's better than that. Second, all those Illini who've been keeping track of the Jazz since he was drafted will fade away if Brown's the Illini they've been watching. Finally, same as I said about CJ Miles last year: You don't build long-term loyalty with moves like this, and while Chase and Powell might not matter, I think Brown will as time goes on. If the Jazz aren't loyal to him, why should he be loyal to them when the time comes to make decisions? Also--again like CJ--who's going to teach him Jazz basketball better, Jerry Sloan or some D-League has-been or never-was?
Ugh. I hate this.

Why not? He's not doing a whole lot of playing while on the IR.
Send him to the D-league and let him play his heart out. It can't hurt him.

Didn't help CJ--why would it help Brown? Give him some time off the bench for the Jazz. He'll show he's worth it.

To be honest, I only wanted Miles because he was a HS mystery, compared to the other future role players drafted around his area. HS players are always known for potential, so if you can get one in the 2nd round, you better get him.

Dee played tonight and looked good. He's a smart player, that's for sure. In his few minutes he didn't implode the team, like we're used to with McLeod and Palacio. He actually had a great dish to Collins... he couldn't have asked for an easier shot.
