Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
For all their talk about "the right way to play" and "the perfect team," the Pistons were a one-and-done title--and mostly won it because Karl Malone was badly injured, Kobe was in trouble, and the Lakers imploded. Even after they started out last season like gangbusters, I never thought they were all that. Utah's had Detroit's number for a while now, and though nothing's a gimme, I'm thinking the Jazz should be 4-0 after tomorrow night.

Uh, ECF 4 years in a row, NBA title, NBA finals 2 years in a row, game 7 against a Spurs in a series that could have easily gone the other way, 64 wins in the regular season last year... Not exactly a fluke.
Anyway, I don't know why we've struggled against Utah. Your team always seems to play hard... or to play us hard. I think this year we are going to play just as hard because this is a win that would be important. The new team will want to improve where the old one was bad, not to mention the Jazz are ranked high now.
I think this will be the first time we play you guys with Boozer active.

Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
103-100 Utah with 33 ticks left. Should be a great finish...

Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
Hard loss for us, but good job by your team. Hamilton and Billups can't shoot against Utah no matter what guards you use.

Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
Yeah, congrats. It really could have gone either way at the end, but we had execution problems.

Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
Whoa...some game to watch. It was kind of how you expected it. Fun to watch. Of course, the win is really nice.
Plus, the Pistons played well. We beat a good team when they were playing good basketball. Bodes well for us.

Re: Game 4: Jazz vs Pistons
Jazz havn't had an easy time getting this 4-0 either. Wins against 3 teams that are concidered top of the league teams (rockets, suns, pistons)

I think the reason the Jazz play you so well is both teams are similar, just the Pistons have superior talent.
