Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
Just took a look at New Jersey's prediction thread.
While I would expect nothing but New Jersey wins, none of them have the Jazz scoring a hundred. Many have us scoring in the eighties.
If the Nets were to win, the Jazz would have still have around 100 points.
My prediction is a win here and a letdown in Boston. I'm always hoping I'm wrong in predicting losses, but we gotta lose sometime.
Right?

No, we are going 82-0 this season. Anything under 82 wins this season and we are under achieving. (joking obviously)
But yeah, we will score 100+ or in the mid to uper 90's. I don't see why we wouldn't. I would like to see the Jazz start the season off like the pistons did last season, but I doubt it will happen. I think the Jazz will most likely lose, but I would like a win to keep the winning streak alive.

Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
The Nets' defense is not exactly staggering, particularly on the block.
New Jersey fans, much like many other fans in this league, completely underestimate this team. Hence the 4-0 record.
If the Jazz get a 10-15 point lead, I don't think they will look back.
If the Jazz shoot 50% from the field, it's a win.

Yeah...there are a lot of people on the Nets board who go a little over the top with their predictions. But I guess that's what fans do.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Jazz play. Other then when they play the Nets or Knicks (and who wants to watch a knicks game these days) or the rare TNT/ESPN game, I never get a chance to watch them.
Here's to a good game, feel free to swing by the Nets board and join in the game thread there if you'd like.

Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
I hear a few of your fans find this team a lot of fun to watch.
I'm looking forward to this game, too. Hopefully the Jazz are as good or better than they were on the road last year. If the Jazz win this game, I think they can roll to 7-0. That would be a dream!!

Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
We need to start fast tonight. If we can get a quick 10-point lead on these guys, I feel confident that we can hold it for the game.

Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
He's started the last 4 games. It gives us a much better attack off the bench, not to mention for 2 of the 4 games CJ has had wiiiiiide open looks and knocked them down.

12 points, 4-5 shooting, 2-3 3 shooting, 22 mins (Rockets)
2 points, 1-5 shooting, 17 mins (struggled against Suns)
17 points, 6-10 shooting, 2-4 3 shooting, 22 mins (Warriors)
0 points, 0-3 shooting, 10 mins (against piston trying to guard Rip)
He is the second youngest NBA player behind Bynum. CJ has started all 4 games so far in the 4 wins, why change something that has worked. Fisher, Brewer, or Giricek will check in when CJ won't be able to contain Vince.

He is averaging somewhere around 8-10 points in the first quarter. Miles starting is a good thing. The rotation has been pretty good so far. With two guys chomping down on him, CJ should be more worried about mpg than starts.

Re: Game 5: Jazz vs Nets
Wow, what a terrible 2nd quarter.
This team really needs to learn to be consistent, or this may grow to be a big problem.
