Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
Down the stretch in the Suns game, Paul Millsap had a rejection that just about threw me down the stairs of the arena. He cut off Barbosa as he was driving and blocked his lay-up. However, he didn't only block it, he just plucked it out of the air! With ONE HAND!! It was just like he grabbed it like an NFL reciever on the way up, with one hand, cuffed it, and brought it down. Incredible.
Anybody have video of this? I about had a heart attack when I saw him do it. That play was AMAZING.

Re: Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
People are calling him a hustle player but I think he's a little bit more than that. When I think of hustle players I think of guys like Najera or Mark Madsen. Guys who just have a knack for getting to the ball. But Milsap seems to have a pretty solid touch around the basket. That's something that "hustle" players don't do. I think he's just a good backup player.
I was watching the Raptors game last week and I thought the Jazz played well when they had Boozer, Okur, and Milsap at the same time. Okur sort of played the 3 on offense, so it worked without making the lanes crowded.

Re: Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
Will Millsap get lost in the rotation when AK returns?
Does he have David Lee kinda skills... rebounding, hops and sound understanding of the game? Or does he also have some scoring potential?

No more youtube links for NBA games, David Stern put the hammer down on that.

Hmm... like your depth. Both Miles and Millsap are nice prostpects. So far youre right. Miles with one minute today. Millsap with 10.

I think Milllsap was having problems with L.A.'s 280 pound front court players.

I don't think Miles is a good prospect. Every time I watch them play Miles looks like he's scared out of his mind. It's hard to play with a guy who's so scared of making a mistake that he won't do anything. He's young so maybe that can change.
Brewer and Milsap are good prospects, though. Not star players, but I could see Brewer starting for a lot of teams down the line. He has good athleticism and unlike Miles he seems to be willing to be aggressive. He fits well in the starters (instead of Harpring) because he gives you that athleticism that he starters don't have outside of Kirilenko. Harpring is great off the bench. Milsap is very good off the bench too, he has a fantastic touch around the basket and in the Lakers game he looked like he had a solid 15 foot jumper.

Re: Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
Of course they are not star players, they are rookies for crying out loud. And Millsap is a 47th pick.

Re: Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
That was nice, not much of a "rejection" though. Horrible music to go along with the video..

Re: Paul Millsap's amazing rejection
Heh, sweet. That block is just awesome, not because he swats it, just because he is like... PSH, that's my ball. Give it to me.
