Greatest Jazz SG of all time?
Any theories? My favorite was Jeff Hornacek, though his Jazz stats don't measure up. Some may argue Jeff Malone, but I believe that the answer would have to be Pistol Pete. Any other ideas anyone?

I with you KAS, Jeff Hornacek was my favourite but I think the GOAT honour goes to Pete Maravich hands down.

Re: Greatest Jazz SG of all time?
I'd dare say Maravich played much more like a PG, and would be a PG in today's game.
I'd have to say Dantley. And the damn Jazz still won't retire his jersey.

Re: Greatest Jazz SG of all time?
Dantley was more of a 3 than a 2, even if you do count AD as a 2 Pistol Pete still beats him. Maravich is a top 50, a HOFer, ect.
Second best Jazz shooting guard is Jeff Malone. he also seems to be the most forgotten player in Jazz history.

And, of course, they traded him to get Jeff Hornacek!

Re: Greatest Jazz SG of all time?
Yeah but when they traded him he was beyond over-the-hill when they traded him, the only one who didn't know that was the Sixers.

Re: Greatest Jazz SG of all time?
Yep, they duped the Sixers but good. And Hornaeck was a far better fit for the Jazz at that point than even a slightly less decrepit Malone would have been.
