#1 - Derek Fisher is undersized. Sloan needs to play him a lot more just at the PG position because our early-season balance of offense off the bench was deadly. Right now it's getting us in big holes.

#2 - Brewer shoots 51% from the field as a guard, probably closer to 53% after he went 5/6 from the field tonight, and not a ton of sample size. He's an excellent slasher, and a great finisher. Not to mention he's probably the best on the team at playing the passing lanes and getting very easy fast break points.

#3 - Bottom line is that CJ Miles and Brewer will make one hell of a tandem in the future, but it's hard for me to believe that if they are both riding the pine all game, every game.

Brewer certainly deserves minutes almost over Harpring sometimes, and should be the starting 2. Bring Fisher, Giricek and Harpring off the bench. Keep the attack balanced and we don't have to worry about these stupid spurt/drought type games that we've seemed to lose or deserved to lose during this trip. We could have very easily been 1-4 with the way the team has played, and the way the coaching staff has decided the line-ups.


I just don't understand it. Somebody help me here.

I wish I understood too. These last few games is the first minutes he has seen in a while. I wish he would start and Fisher would come off the bench. Fisher does such a good job at running the second unit and I think that is what is missing.

I am sure Sloan is playing his usual mind games on Brewer. And then Sloan gives him a chance in the Hawks game, and he plays amazing. So Sloan has started playing him more. He played kinda sloppy and badish against the bobcats, but he had a good game against the griz. Typical rookie mistakes, but Sloan seems to be doing the same to brewer that he did to Dwill. Maybe it will turn out for the best. But right now I would rather have Giri, Brewer, or even CJ starting over Fisher right now. We just need fisher for the bench improvement.
