Jazz had a pretty decent cast back then, thus they made the finals. Ostertag played like a top tier center during the 97 playoffs. Foster, and Keefe had the best seasons of their careers. B-Russ was pretty good. The Jazz also had Chris Morris, who was brought in to give the Jazz depth, just no one suspected he would lose his minutes to a rookie second rounder.

Minus Malone and Stockton from those teams? Would they even make the playoffs?

Now Minus Deron and Boozer from this team and they would make the playoffs with fisher, giricek, AK, Okur, Collins for the starting lineup. With Dee brown, Brewer, Harpring, Millsap, and Hoffa for the 10 man rotation.

You give Stockton and Malone a prime AK and Okur and you have yourself a championship. The lineup of Stockon, Hornacek, AK, Malone, and Okur would be way too good.

Re: Greatest Jazz C' of all time?

I think if you took Williams and Boozer away from the Jazz the only thing the Jazz would win is the lottery. without Boozers inside play the Jazz become a jump shooting team, only problem is they can't shoot. take away Malone and Stockton from those Jazz teams, and you end up with an even worse team. but if you took Jordan and Pippen away from the Bulls you get a team which sucks as well. when ever you take away the two stars of a team the team sucks, look at Houston.

Re: Greatest Jazz C' of all time?

All I am trying to say is if Malone and Stockton had Derons and Boozers supporting cast, they would of won the championship.
