Jazz's Williams is earning respect

"I think you've got to consider Deron Williams as an All-Star," Denver Nuggets coach George Karl said. "He's played that well."
Karl, who along with fellow conference coaches will have a say in selecting Western reserves for the Feb. 18 game in Las Vegas, said what he did even before Williams' 28-point, 12-assist double-double in Utah's 96-84 win Saturday at Denver.
The comment, relayed by a reporter who said Karl had called Williams an All-Star in the making, was accepted with humble appreciation by the Jazz's second-season point..........

He sure is and its a good thing that coaches pick help pick the all star team because most the jazz are getting shafted. Boozer is like 8th in forwards. Deron is 10th in guards I think, Memo is the only one getting some votes I think he's ranked 4th in Centers.

Nope, Deron isn't even in the top 10 of West guard voting. Boozer is 9th in forwards and Memo is 3rd or 4th in Centers.

It'll be tough getting anyone but Boozer in the all star game. He'll need to average around 20-10 in the next few weeks to get there.

I think the coaches have to put at least one member of the Jazz on the West's roster for the ASG.

Try getting to the Finals and still only having 1 All Star......
Hence the reason everyone is pushing for Howard to make it this year.

You have a great team, you are deep everywhere. The Jazz really only have Deron and Boozer as the main guys, and Okur for offensive support and AK for defensive support.
