Re: Game 35: Jazz vs Mavericks

I dont really think Dirks a flopper...I think hes good at selling the call but you cant grab 10 rebounds a game if you flop becuase you cant grab rebounds laying on the ground...besides, whatever they let Dirk get away with they more then made up for it by throwing Stack out on a BS flagrant, not to mention the fact that they gave Utah the ball back with .3 seconds left when they should have called a foul on Andre...

Re: Game 35: Jazz vs Mavericks

Whats everyone talking about the refs did the jazz in? Look at the stats the jazz shot more FT's. Stack got thrown out because he also had a elbow earlier in the game. Then he got another flagrant foul on Collins plus he also had a technical. The refs were just in throwing him out. Foul on Andre at the end, why? the two plays that killed utah were the ak3 from the corner that missed and dampiers block on DW. Amazing Cuban pays a guy 10 million bucks to block a single shot, but thats a different story.

Allright I do admit it. I haven't watched the MAvs this season unless they play the jazz. Well his last 3 games really back up your beast comment.

Jazz-2 REB, 3 Stls(only good stat) 2 Blocks, 3 TO, 2 Points, 5 fouls
Lakers-5 REB, 2 points, 5 Fouls
Spurs-3 REB, 2 Points, 5 Fouls

Plus averaging 8 and 8 isn't beast numbers IMHO.

Re: Game 35: Jazz vs Mavericks

I can't believe you guys are complaining about the refs and flopping. The refs pretty much gave you a red carpet to the FT line the entire first half.

Oh yeah..

Perfectly aware. Why Do you think Jarron collins is still in the league.

But those are not beast numbers. Carlos Boozer has been a beast this year. Not Eric Dampier.

Some, but not all. Let's take a long term term viewpoint on who's more productive.

That's coming from a guy who's watched the game for over 30 years.

I could have sworn TV's been around since the 20's or 30's, and that's...... couple years before you were born?

Is that why the Jazz were driving to the lane and going in the inside to pick up the fouls and the mavs were rather fouling the jazz than letting them get the easy 2. The mavs were shooting a lot of outside shots and were making them. The Jazz were not shooting that good and they knew it, so they took it inside for the easy points or getting fouled on the play.

And if you think Devin Harris is better than Deron Williams, than that must be the only game you have seen of Deron. He had an off night and was not like him. Deron Williams has been playing better than Chris Paul this season and that ain't no joke. Deron Williams just got done with a 28 point night, (12/22), 4-10 3P, 12 assists, 2 turnover, 1 foul, 4 steals night against denver the game before playing against the mavs.

Let us compare numbers from top Point Guards in the league on their second season compared to what Deron has done in his second so far.

Jason Kidd: 37.5 mpg, 16.6 PPG, 9.7 APG, 6.8 RPG, .381 FG%, .336 3P%, 4.05 TOPG, 2.4 A/TO Ratio

Steve Nash: 21.9 mpg, 9.1 PPG, 3.4 APG, 2.1 RPG, .459 FG%, .415 3P%, 1.29 TOPG, 2.5 A/TO Ratio

Stephon Marbury: 38.0 mpg, 17.7 PPG, 8.6 APG, 2.8 RPG, .415 FG%, .313 3P%, 3.12 TOPG, 2.7 A/TO Ratio

Andre Miller: 34.7 mpg, 15.8 PPG, 8.0 APG, 4.4 RPG, .452 FG%, .266 3P%, 3.23 TOPG, 2.4 A/TO Ratio

Deron Williams: 36.5 mpg, 16.8 PPG, 8.7 APG, 3.3 RPG, .461 FG%, .325 3P%, 2.80 TOPG, 3.1 A/TO Ratio

Do I really need to post Devin Harris 2nd or even 3rd season stats? Ill post his 3rd season stats so far. I mean, his 3rd season stats, can't wait to see Derons 3rd year stats because he is improving fast.

Devin Harris: 27.7 mpg, 11.1 PPG, 3.9 APG, 2.4 RPG, .492 FG%, .259 3P%, 2.31 TOPG, 1.6 A/TO Ratio

Deron Williams is the future of the Jazz.
