Hypothetical summer trade
Just wondering what Jazz fans think about trading Harpring. I'd trade either Marko Jaric or Trenton Hassell for him. I know you all need some help at the wings. Jaric can play 3 positions, plays stingy defense, and can pass really well. Downside is that he is sometimes out of control. Hassell is a superb defender. Downside is that he gives you nothing offensively. We could use Harpring's toughness.

No, Harpring is the jazz's sixth man and a big reason why the jazz's bench is so good.

I'd say Harpring is out of the question. Actually, I can't name a player on the team I'd say I want to trade right now.

Re: Hypothetical summer trade
Kirilenko for Jamison?
Jamison is more of a SF and Sloan may like him...
AK can play PF, especially in East... And can be the Wizards 2nd option...

Do you think that Utah would decline?

Re: Hypothetical summer trade
It really depends on what Washington offers. Kirilenko is better than Jamison in all dimensions besides scoring perhaps, but Kirilenko is a score first type player. That would be why Utah would keep him.

But at the same time, AK have a longer contract, also.

Re: Hypothetical summer trade
Another case that could be good for Utah, is in case that KG went traded to Suns and Marion goes to Minnesota or Boston, he probably won't want to play for these teams, and your team can ship Kirilenko for him.

Jamison is better offensive player without question. He is able to play a role within the offense and still score a ton, he has good basketball IQ and instincts regarding court spacing.
Kirilenko is obviously far superior on the defensive end. I think the Wizards would have a slight advantage in this trade.

Re: Hypothetical summer trade
Another idea with Kirilenko:
Cleveland trade Larry Hughes to Utah;
Utah trade Gordan Giricek to Cleveland and AK to Houston;
Houston trade Shane Battier to Utah; trade Justin Reed, JLIII and Rafer Alston to Cleveland;
Battier would be a way better fit than AK in Sloan system. He won't complain about scoring and would fill better the defensive woes of Okur and Boozer, and Battier have a nice salary. Hughes can fill fine the SG spot, and his contract is cheaper and have 1 year less than AK have. Not to mention that they're good guys (especially Battier)
