Where are the Utah fans?
I just came over from the Rockets board to see what the Jazz fans are saying about the upcoming playoffs and found no new threads. What do you guys think about the matchups and do you think it will go the full seven games. Should be a great set of games with physical defensive minded play. Good luck and hope to see your comments.

Re: Where are the Utah fans?
The Utah fans are at various other boards. Theres not a whole lot of them anyway, but there over at different boards, tried to convert some but in the end it was just easier to post over there. I dont like predicting games or series out loud, but i do havea prediction, ill just wait and see if im right, heres to a great injury free series.

Re: Where are the Utah fans?
I check this particular less than the NBA forum, Playoff Forum, and the opponents' forums.
All of the fans on the other boards are too annoying or they insist on just attacking one another, so I post here and it rarely ever happens. Not much to talk about though when I am just talking to myself and maybe one other person responds. Sometimes I read the other boards but a lot of the times they are really terrible, short-sighted analysis' of everything, or just people that can't do anything but complain about something or the other and say "Fire Sloan!" or "Trade the Bear!" or "Blow up the Arena.. we lost one game!". It's just not very interesting, so in other words, this forum is a ghost-town because there aren't any other Jazz fans. They're just on other forums insulting one another and starting petitions against some player or coach because they don't have anything better to talk about.

...and there are only so many posts I can make praising Sloan. If Stockton were to come out of retirement, we could have some real fun.

Feel free to post as much as you want over at the Houston board during the playoffs. It may get a little harsh when our players screw up, but we all are great people.

Re: Where are the Utah fans?
jazz fan here
dont post much here cuz its always dead and i dont feel like talkin to myself. if there are any other jazz message boards out there direct me to them.
as for the series, most seem to think this is a cake walk for houston. i believe it will be hard-fought and go 7 games. it should be interestin since the jazz are a young team with not much playoff experience on the roster. cant wait til tipoff on saturday!

Re: Where are the Utah fans?
Some people seem to forget that the Jazz have a winning record (and a substantially good winning record) against all of the playoff teams in the West, if you combine them all. They can play with and beat the big boys better than pretty much any other team out there, so I really hope Houston just waltzes into this series and finds themself down 3-1 or something before they realize who they are dealing with.
vs west playoff teams...
Mavs (2-1)
Suns (3-1)
Spurs (2-2)
Rockets (3-1)
Nuggets (3-1)
Lakers (1-2)
Warriors (2-2)
Total combined vs West playoff teams: 16-10. Vs top 6 seeds: 13-6.

I new they'd done well against the better teams but I hadn't realized they'd done that well. That's really pretty impressive. It'll be interesting to see how this team matures over the next three or four years.

I agree, even though Houston was able to pick it up in the 2nd half a pull out a win I think that this is probably going the full 7 games. These teams are very close in their abilities to control the tempo. I think our 2 superstars are maybe a little better than Utah's, but our supporting set is not as good. The 2 coaching styles are very similar with a lot of good defense and half court sets with pick and rolls. It should be one of the best series out there this year.Good luck to the Jazz but Go Rockets.
