Well, Utah shot .471 to San Antonio's .408, and the rebounding differential was only +1 for SA. Utah had 17 TOs to San Antonio's 11, but the difference was Free Throws. SA went 30-41 while Utah went 14-20. That's 16 points right there.
It should also be noted that SA went 5-15 on threes while Utah went 1-7, but I think it was the free throws that killed Utah tonight.
Manu killed the Jazz. Duncan had a rough game and Okur played well on D. Parker wasn't quite as dominating as before. But in the second half the Jazz lost track of Manu and that killed em.
A real SG is necessary. I think it's intersting that the Jazz could beat T-Mac and Yao, but it was the third threat SG that causes the most trouble in the end. You can double T-Mac and focus on frustrating him...but if you focus on Ginobili against the Spurs then Timmy and Parker will rip you apart.
The FT disparity was partly due to bad officiating, but partly due to gritty execution by the Spurs in the 2nd half. Even had the officiating been totally even the Spurs would have likely won.
