Jazz 133 Warriors 110

Wow! Seven Jazz players in double figures, Deron Williams with 30 and 11 assists (and four steals), Okur with 28 and on down the line to Harpring's 10.

Brewer looked good again too, scoring 19 points on 8-14 shooting, including 2-3 on threes, and had another pair of steals.

Anyone still missing Fisher?

Brewer has been playing great. Utah is that unlikely good team.

Re: Jazz 133 Warriors 110

man, what a shooting performance by the Jazz. Watching the 2nd half, I didn't think the Warriors' defense was that bad (maybe, at times, getting out-muscled for rebounds), but the Jazz players (especially Brewer, Williams, and Okur) were seemingly hitting everything. All the Warriors had to counter that performance was Al Harrington (38 points on 15-20 shooting, including 6-8 from 3 point territory).

Jazz should make a lot of noise this year. If I don't seem them play the Warriors ever again, it'd be too soon.

A great shooting performace is just the way to describe it. Okur and Deron were both on fire.

This team is not known to be a jumpshooting team, but that's how they got it done last night. I heard somewhere that 133 is the most they've scored in a game since the early 80's.

Yes, still missing Fish, the Jazz could still benefit from his maturity and leadership. I believe Derek's smarts and mentally tough play is something the Jazz will miss, especially in games where an opposing player goes off: TMac, Kobe, Arenas, etc.

It was an exceptional scoring night for the Jazz and shooting percentages were the best we've seen in quite some time, however, the Jazz didn't have much defense, again. Despite the fact that it seems Sloan's allowing the "young guns" a little more leash (at least so far) this year, I hope they don't hang themselves with it.

Although I'm not a huge Sloan fan, I do like his no nonsense approach and demands for execution and defense. This Jazz team will thrive if they can find a balance between up-tempo play and half-court execution, but not without some defense.

GoJazz!
