Many thanks to Kurt Kragthorpe for taking the time to answer our questions.
Krstic All Star
With Ronnie Brewer playing well all season, and the recent emergenc of CJ Miles, is there any real chance that Morris Almond will be called up to see real playing time?
Well, coincidentally enough, Almond was recalled from the Utah Flash
on Tuesday and scored his first NBA points in the rout of Indiana.
But that move was really a function of Andrei Kirilenko's back injury
and may just be a temporary thing. That's because the arrival of Kyle
Korver from Philadelphia has taken minutes that were not being used
by Gordan Giricek, which in turn affects the other guards -- Brewer
and Miles. I have to admit I misread this situation. When Korver
came, I thought he would take minutes away from Kirilenko and Matt
Harpring at forward. Instead, they're playing him mostly at guard,
affecting Brewer, Miles and, as a trickle-down effect, Almond.
What does Paul Millsap's potential look to be?
Probably never an All-Star, but not much below that level. I have
questions about whether Millsap will ever develop much of an
offensive arsenal, but he's a natural rebounder and manages to score
just from being around the basket. He's going to be a very productive
player in the league for a long time.
With the addition of the shooting specialist Kyle Korver, how will Morris Almond's chances to play for the Jazz this season be affected?
I guess I already answered this in the other question about Almond,
but I'll add that Almond has a future in the league just because he
can shoot the ball the way few players can. I don't see him playing
much for the Jazz this year, but his attitude has been great and I
believe all the playing time in Orem can only help him.

How is the relationship between Kirilenko and Sloan this season?
Basically good, from all indications. Whether it was intentional or
not, Sloan has consistently praised him publicly, which is rare for
him with any player. Andrei has seemed more content and relaxed,
especially when the team was winning, which always helps.
Unfortunately, his injury-prone nature has resurfaced, but when
healthy, he has been productive and seems to feel valued again.
