Jazz @ Nuggets

@
(22-17) (22-15)

For the first time this season, the Jazz and Nugs will square off, while having equal numbers in the win column (22). Currently, the Jazz are 1 game behind Denver, who in turn, are 1 game behind the Blazers for the NW division lead. This should be an awesome game.

Quote:
The way Jazz coach Jerry Sloan sees it, his team might as well be starting from scratch when it plays at Denver in a key Northwest Division game Thursday. Forget that the Jazz have won four games in a row, let alone six of their last seven.
"Nobody cares what we did here,'' Sloan said. "That's just the way it is. And we probably aren't respected as much because we haven't won as much on the road as you'd think we should, when you compare our home record and road record. That's something we have to overcome."
In what has been the theme of their season, the Jazz will try for the umpteenth time to carry over their success at home to the road against Denver. The Jazz are 16-3 at home - where all six of their recent wins have come - but only 6-14 on the road. Sloan didn't even want to speculate after Monday's victory over Milwaukee about the Jazz's momentum heading into their first game against Denver this season.
"I don't know what our motivation is on the road or what it has been,'' Sloan said. "It hasn't been what we'd like for it to be because we don't defend as well as we've got to and we've got to do a better job of executing our offense and not just taking shots."

Really? I'm beginning to wish I had programming problems so I wouldn't keep watching! I'm SO disappointed in this team. I thought this was going to be an exciting season but it's become painful. We're watching this team slowly circle the drain. How is the next year or the next after that going to be better?

How many teams play more pathetic D? How many teams play worse on the road? How many teams play with so little energy or excitement? How many teams have a tougher time passing the ball or inbounding? How many teams meltdown more in the 4TH? How many teams allow as many "career nights" against them? How many teams have a worse trio than Hart, Collins, and Price?

Only winning at home isn't going to cut it. Someone tell me something positive, this is depressing!

Utah will probably still win the division, if that helps. Portland is at their peak right now, and Denver is too inconsistent.

Besides that, they're the 5th youngest team in the league, coming off a 50-win season. People like me will be hating Utah for years to come.
