So... if you, and you have the best chance of, get the First Pick next year...
I think it would come down to 3 names:
Dwight Howard
Emeka Okafor
Pavel Podkolzine
My guess is Dwight Howard is goin to Utah. Emeka to Miami (2nd pick) and Pavel to Golden State (3rd Pick)

I don't know enough about Howard (there's an article about him in last week's SI though, seems like a great kid), but if Emeka's offensive game keeps improving at the rate it has been, by the time he's 25 I think he has a great chance of becoming an All-Star.
He is a defensive marvel, and very smart. I would love for Utah to get Okafor.

Utah definetly has to go after Okafor, he's the best senior coming out of college since duncan, and will be ready to contribute as soon as he gets into the nba.
a young lineup of stevenson, harpring, kirilenko, okafor plus plenty of cap room will be fun to watch.

He's not a Senior, he's a Junior. He's graduating early.

Thats what many scouts thought, until Howard wowed the scouts at the Adidas ABCD camp.

We don't want Podkolzine, he's gonna be a huge bust. Okafor is ok but I see him being like Elton Brand, that's not bad thing of course, Brand is great, but I'd like a superstar. Howard would be a nice nice pick up but he's so young the Jazz would have to wait on him and a team so used to winning might not have that much patience. I also like Luol Deng, I think he's going to rise higher in the ranks, he was the #2 high school player this season behind LeBron and had he entered the draft probably would have been a top 10 pick. If he has a phenomenol season he could pull a "Melo". Tiago Splitter is interesting too but maybe as a 2 or 3 pick probably not as a 1.

I don't think so. i heard that he wants to get his degree before he joins the NBA.
i fancy the idea of Okafor more than a HS risk. We should not take Pavel (pending his performance in Europe this season). We don't need a taller Ostertag!
