As the preseason favorite to get the #1 pick in next years draft, who would you Jazz fans like best. You gave immediate impact prom Okafor, who will be a solid player immediately, and for many years in the future. Or, you can go for Howard, who has more potential, and is more likely to be ur team's savior. Not being a fan I'd take Howard, but I think if I was I'd want instant help, so tahts makes it a tougher choice.

I would like to answer this three ways.

If I was Kevin Oconnor I would take Howard because IMO he is still a raw talent and I think he has potential of a superstar.

If I were Larry Miller I take Okafor for the immeadiate impact. IMO he will be an excellent player but does not have Howards potential.

Me being a HUGE Jazz fan. I would take Howard. and hope that the team with second pick takes Okafor. Then the GM of that team gets amnesia and the Jazz trade Amechi for Okafor.

Really I think It's too early too call. I wouldn't mind either player.
But you can tell by my avatar right now I like Howard

I like Howard too but waiting on him may kill, I like Okafur to be an Elton Brand type player, very solid but not a savior. I'm also a big fan of Luol Deng, if he rules in college this year I think he could get consideration.

I really wish they would've jumped on Travis Best. That's a decent player to control the point for you, but they slept on his presence from my vantage point.
But, as far as the immediate future, I hope that 1 they drafted in the 2nd round is a good playmaker.. and for some reason, I'd love to see Desmond Mason sign next year, even though we wouldn't need him stockpiling the 2 and 3 positions like Maggete would've done.
Other than that, I'm not too high on next year's draft since half of the 1st rounders haven't even thrown in their guarantee yet.
