Jazz stashing more draft picks?

The Jazz will probably be getting a 1st and 2nd round from Dallas for taking Chris Mills contract. If they do, insurance would pay 80 % of his salary the Jazz pay 20% and then cut him.

The link doesn't work man.

This deal makes no sence to me either... We loose Mills and some Picks? And for what? A contract that expires at the end of this year anyways?

[quote]TRADE TALK: The Jazz could pull the trigger at any time on trades for either Phoenix point guard Brevin Knight or the contract of Dallas' Chris Mills, but for now it seems likelier that basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor will hold off doing anything at all.
"I think the biggest thing we need to do is sit back and see, after four or five exhibition games, what we're lacking in, besides experience," O'Connor said.
It has been learned that Mills does plan to undergo potentially season-ending ankle surgery, probably within two weeks.
That is an apparent prerequisite to any potential swap with Jazz, which would be willing to take the salary cap hit on Mills' $6.6 million contract only if insurance actually pays most of it. In that scenario, Utah would get first- and second-round draft picks along with cash from over-the-cap Dallas, which wants to dump Mills so it can avoid a dollar-for-dollar luxury tax on his salary.[quote]

I have a feeling Dallas would do it just to avoid paying over $10 million dollars (including the luxury tax) for Chris frickin' Mills.

It's gonna be Eaton, 'Nique, Stockton, and Malone all in one year!

Okay, an exaggeration, but the Jazz are doing well for the long term after losing players 1 and 1A.

Exactly, although what I found odd is the Mavs giving up picks, they have found some real good players with their low picks.

They are excellent scouters of talent.
