4-0 at home and 0-2 on the road. They need to prove they are for real when they go on a road trip.

Sloan is THE best coach in the NBA, 4-2, whoa! We don't have to be a huge loser to grab a gem in the draft. Both Stockton and Malone were picked in the teens and they were FRANCHISE players. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get. The scouts need to do a good job this year. A gem always falls to a team with a lower pick bc everyone slept on em.

Having a great draft pick doesn't mean you'll turn it around anyway. Look at the Clips. They've had great draft picks for eons and haven't done much with them. Same with the Bulls for the last few years for that matter (yeah yeah, I know, Chandler and Curry are going to be all stars eventually and Crawford is the next coming of Magic). The Jazz should concentrate on winning as many games as they can. Losing for the sake of getting a good draft pick begets losing, IMO.

Some of the comments made me think of a possible situation.
Would it be better at this point, if the Jazz fell off and had one of the worst records in the NBA at the end of the season (as expected) and getting their first ever lottery pick?
Or: getting at least 35 wins, at least getting close to the playoffs, and either making it, or getting a lower Lottery pick (8-13).. and having that $30 million (or whatever) in cap space next year?
Basically, I'm asking what'll be better for the Jazz at this point out of those two scenarios? Can they get someone like Okafur or the expected draft entree of the 7'3" Asian and change their market appeal like a say.... Carmelo or LeBron? Or is it better if they keep their habit of not being a lottery team at least one more year to possibly pull down that Brad Miller, Corey Maggette, or Andre Miller next year?
Think about it and fill me in on what you think..

A team which has $30m to spend on free agency (is that still correct?) should win as many games as possible. As the bulls found out, free agents aren't too keen on a huge rebuilding project. Rather, they prefer going to a decent team which only needs a bit of star treatment to really make an impact. If Utah keeps going like you have, you should be able to pick up some top quality free agents (even if you have to over spend a little bit)

Maybe.. ideally we win 25-30 games and get a nice high draft pick, get a couple of good free agents, and keep enough money to resign guys like AK, Arroyo, Lopez, etc..

Depend of what level of FA are we talking about. The Nuggets were the worse team on the NBA last season, they attracted Andre Miller, Earl Boykins, Voshon Lenard and Jon Barry.
