Yes - but how many are good shooting guards and at least 6'4" tall (as Hornacek was) and know how to really be a great team defender? That remains to be seen.....will there be any at all who could help the Jazz this year?
I guess I'd like for the Jazz to be able to make the playoffs in Stockton's final year. All of us should enjoy watching Stockton - as this is his last year and what a great PG he has been - shooting only when necessary and shooting over 50% and only 6' tall, to say nothing of how he could pass the rock!

I agree with you TheRifleman. I think Stockton is an amazing player and knows how to play the game the way it should be played.
And how he could pass the rock!!!!!!!!

I don't think it matters much who starts at 2. Whoever it is, Stockton and Malone will get him in a corner, pimp slap him and let him know that he's got to play his heart out 500% of the time, and that missing the playoffs will not be acceptable. Stockton and Malone are the type of player capable of willing their team to will. That magic formula only let them down in two important games in their careers in back-to-back seasons (much to my relief as a Bulls fan).
In short, they'll have someone half worthwhile playing alongside Stockton, and whoever it is simply won't be allowed to let the Jazz lose.

It looks like they're going to be going with Stevenson. He started most of the preseason games, anyway. And I think they like both Harpring and Chaeney coming off the bench. I think DeShawn is coming along though. Although I expect Kirilenko to really make huge strides this year, I also think DeShawn can get 30+ minutes per game and really surprise a lot of people. The Jazz might be alright if they can get anything more than a bunch of fouls from their centers.

Well posted The Rifleman. I agree totaly with that.
My view on the situation is that if Harp can play the 2 well enough and keep up, then hes the best bet. Stevenson could turn into a great offensive weapon, but I think the defence and rebounding of Harp is more important. The could be a great rebounding team with Harp, Kirilenko and the Mailman. Stevenson could get some quality bench minutes, or get traded off before his value goes down. Im sure there are still at least a few teams out there who are interested in what he can realy do.

Stevenson will start
Traditionally Sloan has started many combos. I think that Stockton, Malone and Kirilenko will probably start most every game unless injured. The other two positions are still wide open. Sloan will proably go with the guy who has been performing lately. There has been very little stability at either C or SG over the last few years. This is supposed to be the starting lineup for the season opener in NO.
Stockton
Malone
Kirilenko
Ostertag
Stevenson

Stevenson benched
Stevenson lost his starting job because Sloan thinks his defense is lacking. He didn't respond well to losing his starting job so his playing time has been cut. He got 7 minutes against Wiz, 19 minute against detroit and 0 minutes in the Toronto game.
