The job is up in the air. Either Stevenson, Cheaney or Harpring will start and probably get some minutes at SG. This link makes it sound like coaching staff is still undecided. I think right now Stevenson is going to be given a shot.

I forgot about Harpring. He has a chance too.
But I am more for DeShawn Stevenson.

I am not sure how well he will do. I just think at some point they have to give him more of a chance than previously. If they aren't going to play him they should trade him and try to get something in return.

Yeah, maybe the trade idea is not bad at all.

Harpring has proven he can score...
in both orlando and philly...he just was not given a chance...cheaney is probably rumored to be the one, but I would put my ducks on Harpring. Stevenson...hey, this guy can drink if nothing else!!! (he was the one with the DUI, right?)
Hey, they still have crotty, eh? I know...he is a pg..... no? LOL

i would think the way Harpring can rebound that he would play more SF than sg.

Crotty is a PG but he isn't on the Jazz roster. I don't think he has signed anywhere. I don't think his knee is healthy enough to play yet. He may be done for good. I think the Jazz would have signed him instead of Arroyo if they thought he would be able to play a 82 game season. Crotty's nba.com page doesn't show that he has signed anywhere.

Actually Crotty was a pretty good backup. He knew the system and performed pretty good for the 30 or so games he was really healthy last year. If you look at his stats from last year I think most teams who have decent starting PGs would be OK with those from the backup PG. He played well enough that they played Stockton and him together for short periods.
01-02 Stats
PPG 6.9
RPG 1.8
APG 3.4
FG% .471
FT% .864
3P% .449
MPG 19.6

Cheaney is too heavy to be a good sg, imo. He also doesn't shoot enough, like Christie, which is always a detriment to their teams - the defense can sag off of them because they know they don't take "the shot" unless they are wide open and even then they don't always take the shot......they don't keep the defense honest!
I think they'll need a tough defender like Harpring(who is too heavy too, but at least he can rebound and defend) or Stevenson. I know one thing - they MISS Horney!!
