HUUUUGE game for the Jazz on saturday

Jazz vs Nuggets

OK, at the moment we are 0.5 games behind the Nuggets. They play tonight in Seattle, who will hopefully continue their winning streak!

Worse case scenario - Jazz enter the game 1 game behind. A win would be enough to tie it up again. Last time we played them we played like a bunch of pansies. We have just come off a poor performance in Seattle.

How do you think we will do?

I'm personally leaning to the pessimistic side. Denver are very good when they decide to play, and they just beat Minnesota. Our best chance is to tire them out, as they will be playing their 2nd road game in 24 hours and we've had 3 days' rest.

We must play with plenty of intensity, and find a way to score some points. If Raja gets hot, that will help. We need Ak47 on both ends of the floor.

Nevertheless, my prediction: Jazz 78 Denver 93

That would put us TWO games behind Denver, and Portland should beat Seattle to drop us into 10th.

If Utah plays the way they did their last game, things could get ugly. I think Denver has their number and will win. Although I'm hoping the Jazz will prevail. It's going to be a tough game.

I'll be there..

I've been to over 20 games at the Delta Center, and they've only lost once, to the Blazers, back in around 99, so that means they're going to win, obviously. I even went to games against the T'Wolves and Lakers this year, and they still won.

For some reason or other i'm exetremely good at predicting the outcome of Jazz games. I'm not keeping a record or anything but I think i'm around 80% correct on the season

Utah wins tonight, by around 10 or so points with a fairly balaced scoring attack.

I think we'll lose but anyway...But if we win then I say Denver is pretty much out, by the way they've been playing lately and by the looks of their schedule.

So here's the tiebreaker scenario if we tie with Portland, our season series is already 2-2-

Two-Team Tiebreaker
1. Better record in head-to-head games
2. Higher winning percentage in conference games
3. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
4. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
5. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference
6. Higher point differential between points scored and points allowed

Three-Team Tiebreaker
1. Best head-to-head winning percentage among all teams tied
2. Highest winning percentage in conference games
3. Highest winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
4. Highest winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
5. Highest point differential between points scored and points allowed

We are 21-22 in the conference, Portland if 19-26. And even is Denver ties us, that won't matter because they are already up 3-0 on us.

I've already started looking towards next year. I'd rather get a lotto pick than limp into the playoffs only to be smashed by Sacramento?

With a young team I'd rather make it to gain some experience.
