Game Thread: Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs
Location :
Time: 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Starting Lineups:
Jazz vs. Spurs
Point Guard : Carlos Arroyo vs. Tony Parker
Shooting Guard : Gordan Giricek vs. Hedo Turkoglu
Small Forward : Andrei Kirilenko vs. Bruce Bowen
Power Forward : Tom Gugliotta vs. Tim Duncan
Center : Jarron Collins vs. Rasho Nesterovic
Key Matchup off the Bench :
Ginobili vs. Bell
Notes:
Jazz: The Jazz stand at 39-36 in the West and are currently sitting uncomfortably in 8th place. They need a win today to allow some breathing room between the Nuggets and the TrailBlazers. The Jazz haven't missed the Playoffs in the last 5 years.
Spurs: The Spur's currently are in 4th place in the Western conference at a mark of 50-25, and are scheduled to play the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs if the season ended today. The Spurs are the Defending NBA Champs, and until proven otherwise, will be the team to beat in the 2004 NBA playoffs.
This is my first time doing a game thread, so sorry if there are any inconveneinces in it.

Nice game thread C-MO. I really enjoyed it.
I think the Spurs are too much for the Jazz, both teams are playing well lately.
Prediction:
Spurs - 89
Jazz - 80

Thank you very much.
I think the Spurs are going to fall into the mold of the Sacramento Kings down the stretch and level off there play, so, I am predicting the Jazz to win by 5.
Jazz 97 vs. Spurs 92

This can happen, with a coach like Sloan, we know that this team won't give up and they will play hard every night.
But I don't think the Jazz has an answer to Timmy D inside.

Agreed, but Timmy can't win the game all by himself.
I'm not sure if this would totally work, but this is what I would do.
Let Timmy score his points. Contain the rest of the Spurs team, and make the rest of them beat you instead of trying to contain Timmy the whole game. It's just an idea, but logically, it sounds correct to me.

I think Sloan quited, maybe he is getting .
Arroyo was playing pretty well, the refs were not with us.
Mo should have never entered the game, Arroyo should have never come out of it . This is why I will always take both of Williams and Arroyo over Lopez, until he lear to cut those turnovers . I dont like Sloan rotation, but he is the coach, not me. They pay to him, not me:cthread:
