We're gonna have the 14th, 16th, and 21st picks
At least one of those guys will be able to contribute, and hopefully we'll trade up to get a really good player.

This draft is interesting because it might be a few years before you can see if any of the players will be a star or superstar.
They will be able to land some good players if the don't trade two or all three of the picks to move up or for vets. Big men are needed the most and I'm sure one will be available. This is a good year for wing players too.

Is that definite? I'm not sure it is.
Don't forget that we have a minute chance of WINNING the lottery. Can you imagine Emeka Okafor in a Jazz uniform?

I hope they get Kosta Perovic, Hakim Warrick, and a good SG/SF which i cant name. I hope they dont take Ha Seung-Jin, pavel, any highschooler(Jerry sloan doesnt seem like a highschool player type), or that cocky russian canadian. Maybe they take 2 centers cause the Jazz are really weak there. A powerforward is also a must.

If Ivan Chiriaev wasn't so obnoxiously cocky, I'm sure the Jazz would be interested in him.. He was averaging some crazy numbers in high school, and the scouts who have seen him have all come away raving.
I too hope we trade up, as high as 7 or 8 might be possible, but Larry Miller said that he might keep two of the picks and trade another one for a future pick, so we'd have two first rounders this year and two next year..
I would like to get Andriuskevicius, but Araujo wouldn't be bad. He's so big and strong and willing to improve that he'll have at least a solid career.

The thing about taking a center is that every team in the NBA needs one, except HOU and LAL. So all the good ones will get snatched up.
I agree about Warrick. I think he's gonne be amazing.

A Puerto Rican wants to select a Puerto Rican.

Hey if Gordon is gone by the #8 you can have it for all 3 of your picks. I'll even throw in Cleveland's 2nd.

I see the Jazz trading at least one if not two of their first round picks. I think alot could be determined by what happens in the expansion draft.

Dorrell Wright would be a good pick at #21. He could be a future star at SG. So, why not?
I don't think he's another Stevenson.

Lottery odds
Utah has a 0.50% chance of winning the #1 pick in the lottery, 0.59% chance of getting #2, and 0.73% of getting #3.
Basically, it means that it is 98.18% certain that we end up with #14.
BUT, it means that roughly one time in 50, we would get one of the top 3 picks!!
I'm not holding my breath, but can you imagine if we pulled it off??

Who cares about winning the lottery, Emeka and Dwight probably won't be franchise players.
However three picks in a deep deep draft, man oh man do I envy you guys, sign a decent FA, pick up a pg SF and a center, you guys got it made, I'm surprised nobody here is picking and chosing, god knows I'd be all over this.
