Ostertag
Well...
What you guys think that is gonna happen with Greg Ostertag in this offseason?
Resigned or sign with other team? If he sign with other team, which team?
My guess is that he will sign with Golden State Warriors...

I think he's gone.. I can't see Sloan putting up with him long-term. He's a decent big body, but I don't think he'll be in a Jazz uni next season.

I agree that Ostertag is a decent big, if you define decent as; someone over 7 foot, rarely injured, and blocks a shot or two a game.
However, if I see that daisy farmer and his weak inside work, back in utah I am just going to snap.
Maybe I am just bitter being under six foot myself, but nonetheless it makes my butt pucker and my back hair stand on end when I see someone that tall not dunk that close to the rim.

Ostertag is better than most people make out. That said, I don't see him fitting in with the Jazz rebuilding program. Hopefully we can get Erick Dampier. Jarron COllins would be an adequate backup, and I think we should sign Ben Handlogten again. He was very effective when on the floor.

I agree, he is better than what people think. Although the problem is he hasn't always played hard when we needed him too. I don't think he'll be back.
I'm not sure Collins will be back either. I would like to see Handlogten in the summer league. The Jazz will definitely be looking for help up front, either through free agence or the draft.

I'd be extremely surprised if Collins wasn't back next year.. I hope he is too, even if he's a backup. The improvement he made from opening day to the end of the season was huge.

The sad part is, if the Jazz can't snag Dampier or Okur, Tag may be the next best option, there are just not a lot of available big men.

I GIVE UP
I have tried to think of any scenario in which the jazz can get rid of ostertag and not get stuck playing small ball next year. Problem is that there are really no good centers out there. Yeah the jazz can draft a couple of them but then you have a rookie and borchardt is a relative rookie also. The jazz are kind of in a corner with tag. But on principle alone, if tag would not accept around 4 million a year then I would just hang the CURRENTLY REBUILDING, THANK YOU FOR PATIENCE, sign at the delta center and wait for a better situation.

If 'Tag is back in SLC I'll wet myself.
God, what a freakin' bum. Start Mikki Moore, I don't care, he's pretty good. And trade up to get a center.
JUST NOT FREAKING OSTERTAG!
