Rumors already link Jazz, Denver's Camby

Quote:
The agent for Nuggets center Marcus Camby has told a Denver newspaper that if Camby does not return to Denver next season, the Jazz are among a trio of teams that "could emerge as possibilities" for his client in this summer's NBA free-agency market.
Camby's top choice is to stay with the Nuggets, but "Marcus wants to nail down a long-term deal," agent Rick Kaplan said in a story that appeared in Monday's Rocky Mountain News.
If it's not with Denver, Kaplan cited Utah, Atlanta and Phoenix — all expected to have ample room beneath the league's team-payroll salary cap for next season — as possible alternate destinations.

I wouldn't mind seeing Camby. How has he been injury wise? And how do you think he will blend with Sloan? How much would he command and how long is long term?

He's too old for a long term deal. Especially with the Jazz.

I'd take him for 2 years, but beyond that is too big a risk. THere's players I'd rather have.

Yeah, Camby is out of his gord if he thinks he's going to get a 6 year deal. If he's going to get any kind of salary above the MLE, it's going to be on a 2 or 3 year contract. He played well, but I doubt any front offices were particularly impressed for sitting out 3/4 of the duration of his contract, then suddenly regaining form once contract year rolled about.
