Sloan, you better give him PT the next year .Raul has rejected to be in what would be the best Spanish National Team of the history, probably, also Pau's last competition, because the 'advice' of the Jazz organization.
In Spain, the Jazz are being blamed.
In Utah, Jazz officials deny they pressured Lopez into opting out — and say the call was all his.
"We said to him, 'You have to make the decision on the Olympics,' " said Kevin O'Connor, the Jazz's basketball operations senior vice president.
"We told him, 'Here are the things you have to consider, ' " O'Connor added. "And we said we would back him in anything he wanted to do."
Kind of a double edged sword.. it's disappointing that we (and especially people in Spain) can't root for him in the Olympics, but he'll be working hard in the offseason.. hopefully pumping some iron, for god sakes . Time to get rid of that baby fat, Raul.
The people who knows something about basketball understand that the Jazz had an extraodinary behaviour with Raul, and we understand that raul's decision is a way of giving back some of the effort that the Jazz made for huim in the past.
IMO this isn't Pau's last international competition. Perhaps he won't be back in the National Team in four year, but if he is healthy for the olimpics in China He will be our man in 2008. An then Raul will be the starting PG of our NT.
