The Utah Jazz are familiar with many situations and places in the NBA. The playoffs, NBA Finals, and post-season awards are all common place for the franchise. But Wednesday Kevin O’Connor leads the team into unfamiliar territory when he represents the Jazz at the NBA Draft Lottery in Secaucus, N.J.
The Jazz, accustomed to having their pick determined by record in years past, must overcome long odds to receive one of the coveted top three selections in this year’s draft. Along with the 12 other teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, the Jazz will take place in a lottery that could very well further change the face of the franchise.
