Yep. I picked up Dawnguard on my 360 and was like "****. I forgot how looooooonng these load screens are."

Its no wonder I used to get fairly drunk playing Skyrim on the 360. If you've got a beer beside you and a load screen comes up, what else are you supposed to do?

Re: Steam

Picked up Company of Heros for $2.50 and now crossing my fingers Oblivion GOTY edition wins the next flash sale.

Played the shit out of it on 360 over the years, but $2-3 for that type of game to be sitting on my computer while I'm stuck at work is more than worth it.

Just Cause 2 for $3.74.

Getting ridiculous how many games I'm picking up.

That should be a given, but its from the same guys who did Eastside Hockey Manager so I figured I'd learn soccer as I went.

Dumb move. Glad I learned it while the game was on sale.

Re: Steam

It's an awful lot of numbers, and you don't even get to play the games. These are the complaints I hear, I've played FM and CM going back 12 years and it's probably my favorite game ever, right up there with the NCAA Football console game.

Anyway, it's very tactic heavy too, and I know a lot of experienced players to get extremely pissed off if their tactics don't work. I can't imagine how overwhelming it must seem to someone who's never played the game before, much less someone who doesn't even like the sport. Generally I figure it out pretty quick, but 10/11 was very difficult and frustrating for me for a good few months.

Re: Steam

Don't worry it's been a long time since I have played. I have played every Civ game since Civ II (the greatest one of all time ever period). I played counterstrike and civilization all through college instead of going to business classes. Now I don't play computer games and run a business. I feel like there is some stuff I might have missed.

Re: Steam

Ill play if its Civ 4. Civ 5 sucks dick in comparison.

As far as Steam, just picked up Oblivion and Morrowind GOTY editions for $5 a piece.

Ridiculous.

Completely agree about Civ II. I think Civ 4 is the only one that can even try to compete with it. Complexity doesn't always add to the fun; I know they have to update because they can sell millions of copies with every release, but Civ (and other turn based strategy games) have generally gotten worse. I think RTS peaked later (I guess it started later), but they are plateauing now too.

Speaking of Civilization, Civ 5 is $7.50 right now, Civ 4 is $5. Canadian prices so probably even cheaper in good ol' US of ****in A.
