Firefight

Anyone have or thinking about getting this computer? I'm in the market for a new laptop and this one I think fits my needs. It will not be used as a primary computer, but rather one that I will take back and forth to work with me. I won't be doing any gaming or photo editing, so thats not a concern. Pretty much everyday internet use, (youtube, gmail, message boards, etc.)

It's currently out of stock/on back order pretty much anywhere you look. Amazon is out of them, and every Best Buy within 100 miles of Chicago is out of them. There is a store near me that has 4 "in transit" to the store that will be there most likely tomorrow morning.

I'd like to get my hand on it in person to check out size, etc before I buy it, but I can't beat that low price tag.

Any input would be appreciated...

So the local Best Buy got 5 in stock today. Got a chance to look at one in person and mess around with it. Although the price is amazing, and the limitation don't effect me, considering what I'd be using it for... I decided against it.

The machine has a pretty cheap feel to it. It's smaller than I thought too. From the reviews, the keyboard is supposed to be a stand out feature... A keyboard that rivals the Mac. I've never used the apple keyboard, but this one on the chromebook was horrible IMO.

Anyways, figured I'd respond just in case anyone was looking to get one of these. From what I can tell, they are still hard to find, which initially gave me the impression that they were much more of a hot item then it really is....

Thanks for this response. I was actually considering getting one to use as my primary computer (my current laptop is a dinosaur), but now I don't think I will.

I mean it looks like an Apple keyboard, but the action on my 2.5 year old MBP is better than the action on the Chromebook I played with (I was considering one as a gift given the price).
