This list is largely based on innovation of form, not aesthetics of art per say. We could easily make a list of 28+ other games that we think constitute art.

Just like Mario 64, I'd vote the adventures with that lovable green dinosaur as art any day.

The opening sequence of getting to the lighthouse and entering Rapture in Bioshock constitute for art to me.

Myst was the most important inclusion on the list IMO. No-brainer choice. First game I was looking for once I knew this list existed.
