Halo 3: Recon
An expansion to 2007's hit game, Halo 3, will be released in fall of 2009.
The expansion will include new multi-player maps and forge options as well as the "Hell Jumpers" campaign, which puts the hero in the boots of an ODST recon marine.
A trailer for the upcoming expansion can be viewed here.

Fall 09? Wake me up in a year then. They're hyping this up far to long in advance.

Campaign usually is not all that anyways, people are anticipating the 6 new maps that will be released soon rather then this. I know I am.

Re: Halo 3: Recon
anyone know if the new character youll be will be a spartan like soldier ie: shields, armor etc. or will it be a normal guy with a health bar and the need for stealth or strategy?

Re: Halo 3: Recon
As a whole, Halo's campaign execution and really the Halo universe are not all that interesting. And this is coming from somebody that has logged more online games played than probably everyone else here, combined. Their multiplayer is great. Campaign is horribly mediocre, so a campaign-driven game in the Halo universe really doesn't appeal to me that much.

Re: Halo 3: Recon
I really enjoyed the campaign on the first game, but the campaigns for the next two weren't terribly interesting to me. I stopped caring about the story or even knowing what the hell was going on. There are some bright spots, though. Dismantling scarabs is extremely cool.

Re: Halo 3: Recon
I enjoyed all 3 of them. I think they're pretty strong for first person shooters.

Re: Halo 3: Recon
yeah i agree with PR scarab fighting was the best. especially if you had a hornet or banshee. id fly over them eject myself, come flying down on top then throw stickies at the controls and run like a madman.
