Wizards' Hayes in Bulls' Eyes
The Chicago Bulls have approached the Washington Wizards about trading the No. 3 pick in the June 24 draft and a lesser-salaried player for second-year forward Jarvis Hayes and Washington's fifth overall draft selection, according to sources in Washington and Chicago, who did not want to be named.

As a Wizards' fan, I can say that I definitely would not want this to happen. I think the Wizards can get as much value at 5 as the Bulls can at 3. Throwing in Hayes is just crazy.

Sick *******s
I would never do this, Jarvis Hayes has a lot of potential to live up his 10th pick. I think we can still get the guy who we want at 5 possibly if we are lookin at Iggy.

The Bulls are trying to get us stuck in the dummy move. They think they can get the Player they want at 5, steal Hayes then pawn off a player onto us.
Wizards shouldn't even be considering moving up in this draft unless its to snag Okafor.
This offer tells me the Bulls don't want Deng. They probably want Iggy and figure getting Iggy to play the 2 and Hayes to play the 3 completes their team.
The way things are going I think we can get Deng at 5. Livingston as I expected is rising which pushes someone down to us. Bulls don't want him and the Bobcats might balk at a highschooler. Clips are the ones I figure to take Livingston.

I'm not a huge fan of Hayes but I haven't seen enough of him yet to project how good he is . He could become a Glen Rice type scorer with explosive hops. Watching Rip really scares me off of trading guys that can score. Hayes is still raw in certain facets of the game he can't really create a shot for himself but the kid coming off screens can stroke it. Might just be a matter of time before he starts dropping 20 a game on people.
Fellas what are we gonna do about our logjam at the 2-3 spots, we're most likely to draft another perimeter player we have to start cleaning up our roster.
I'm glad to see we are trying to get into the Al Harrington sweepstakes.

Perhaps whoever approached us was drunk at the time? Hayes isn't anything special at this point, but he certainly is worth more than moving up two spots in a draft that has no particular player that we must have. We could certainly work some sort of deal that has a Hayes for the 3rd base, but that probably isn't that hot from their side of things.

I'm still pissed about this, who ever did propose that trade is an absolute freak of nature. What a retard.

If we draft a 3, we move Dixon.
I can see is holding on to Hughes and starting the Arenas, Hughes, Stack 1/2/3 lineup next year. When the trade deadline comes up, we can move one of Hughes or Stack, or we can let Hughes play out his contract and possibly look to sign and trade him.
If Deng demands PT then Hughes can bolster the second unit with Hayes and Blake.
At this point, I still want BPA at the 5.
I do think jazzy's take on this is right on. The Bulls want Iggy and they are trying to trade down to grab him and unload crap on us. We can just as easily grab Iggy and do the iggy-hayes 2/3 as our second team.

i think the first three picks could quite possibly happen if the hawks dont trade up for dwight howard anyways. what did strike me though is that the bobcats could take luol deng leaving the wizards with the opportunity to grab another georgia product. oh boy another kwame......

This is basically the deal, the draft picks being = right now...
"The Bulls initiated the talks, sources said, which in one scenario had the teams swapping first-round picks and Hayes coming to Chicago in exchange for Chris Jefferies and salary-cap filler, likely Paul Shirley or Jannero Pargo."
Hayes for Chris Jefferies and Shirley
Grunfeld should be fired if he does that...

Yep, that's pretty much all correct. The difference between the third and fifth pick is very, very little at this moment. At the third pick you have more options, but in this draft, the player selected there isn't going to be any more of a sure thing than the player we select at fifth in all likelihood.

Yeah the Wizards would be pretty stupid to give the Bulls 2 lottery picks to move 2 slots in this weak draft.
f22egl, If Howard fell to us at 5 I'd be overjoyed for that to happen. I'm not worried about getting another Kwame, cause I'm quite pleased with the one we got. Adding another big, athletic, pf/c would make the Wizards really happy.

I wouldn't mind grabbing Howard either.
BCH's current top 5
1) Okafor
2) Livingston
3) Howard
4) Deng
5) Igoudala
