Our free agent target...

Our free agent target should be Eric Williams. He's a veteran, he's inexpensive, he can DEFEND. He won't complain, he'll come off the bench, he is good in the locker room, and he's got playoff experience. He can defend the 2 or the 3 and he always hustles. Additionally, he can recite pi to 40,000 places.

I'm serious- he's not the big name catch most people want, but I think Williams is the type of guys that improves teams. He was a major cog during Boston's Finals run, and he helped Cleveland during their (almost) playoff run. Last year, he averaged 10.0 ppg, and only 1.2 TO's.

Drawbacks- he's 32, and he doesn't seem like a guy that can play a full season without missing 10-15 games from injury. He's not a superstar, but I think he can help.

I know the draft is our top importance right now, but I don't think we can ignore the free agent market, as a good veteran will help us more than a 19-year-old project.

You gotta imagine Nelson is drooling at the thought, as Peja could help him inch closer to his dream of averaging 300ppg.
Should the Lakers sign Latrell Sprewell?

I really agree with this. We need some toughness on our perimeter . Our perimeter D is terrible. We have no stoppers. E Williams could do that for us.

Thats really why also I'm advocating taking Deng or Iggy with the draft pick also.

We need-

Unselfish facillitator we have a team full of ME players that want the ball but don't want to do the other things. We need a passer.

A perimeter stopper. Someone who''l lock in and stay in front of their man.

to feed the post early and often. Kwame can work down there if given the ball.

for Kwame to do the other things when not given the ball block shots and harrass the offensive boards.

how about ginobli? maybe the wizards can offer a lot of money to get him esp if stack is taken in the expansion draft since he is an unrestricted free agent.

another possible option is stephen jackson. he has an ego though but he still helped the spurs become champs.

Seven words: Barry is not leaving the west coast.

He wouldn't start for us anyways, and I don't see why he'd go to a weak eastern team to sit on the bench. He's also looking for a four year, $20 million dollar deal, which I have little interest in giving to a 32 year old who only averages playing in 69 games per season over his career (including only 59 this past season). Maybe if we were an upper class team looking to get over the hump to the title then yes, but not in our position.

Slavko Vranes.. he's 7'5 and he's pulling for MVP of my NBA Inside Drive 2004 season.

btw, look at this startying line up out of a fantasy draft with no trades:

PG: Jason Kidd - 10.3 ppg - 7.8 apg
SG: LeBron James - 11.4 ppg - 3.2 apg
SF: Latrell Sprewell - 8.1 ppg - 3.0 rpg
PF: Antonio Davis - 13.6 ppg - 6.1 rpg
C: Slavko Vranes - 10.1 ppg - 9.6 rpg

this is in 3 min quarters, btw. Vranes kicks.. behind!
