question for Wizard fans

Over on the Bulls forum, somebody bumped up a thread from 2002 the other day which asked if the Bulls should trade Jamal Crawford for Jared Jeffries. I stated that it didn't make much sense from the Wizard point of view as JC is a poor man's Arenas and the Wiz already have Larry Hughes who has a similar game to JC.

Quite a few JC fans responded with remarks that Jamal is already better than Arenas or that he will have a better season next year. My question is, who would you rather have, Arenas or Crawford?

Ask a team's fans who's teams star is better theres or chicago's. Hmm. I think it is Arenas but even if it wasn't I don't think you would be hearing anyone say Crawford anyway. I do believe though Crawford will be a steal for whatever team that signs him this offseason.

Arenas, and it really isn't that close. The demand for Arenas is substantially higher than the demand for Crawford, and teams seem more willing to throw cash around this year than last. Crawford has one suitor basically and that is New York. Chicago will resign him pretty much by default.

Yeah just look at what kind of offers Crawford is getting after his 4th year, nobody except NY is willing to give him more than the MLE.

Arenas had Denver and Miami both interested, and had the Clippers and Wizards both offering 10 mill per year.

And look at the stats. Arenas's 2nd year on a better team was better than Crawfords 4th year on a worse team.

It's not even close. Bulls fans are delusional if they think theirs even a legit argument to be made of Crawford even being on Arenas's level.

Not even looking at the demand issue.

I think Arenas is better and I may only be saying this because I'm a Wizards fan. From a talent standpoint they are close really close. I think mentality wise is where the divide is. Crawford is one of those agenda guys. He seems more of a guy worrying about pt and his status on the team than how his play effects the win/loss column.

Seems like the Bulls have always looked to move Crawford, they got jay Williams in , they got Hinrich ,this past draft they get Gordon. Seems like they've always looked move Crawford so there's something there from a mental standpoint that they aren't satisfied with.

Thats why I think more teams aren't interested. He seems like the wrong player to make the big investment in. He'll dominate the ball and he has no leadership skills whatsoever.

Arenas on the other hand was pretty much beloved by the management people in GSW and they hated losing him.

He always plays intense sometimes misguided but intense and he seems to be one of thos players who plays the scoreboard.

I saw the kid this past season dive on the floor for lose balls in a game they were down 25 pts in the 4th quarter. I think people feel like with guidance Arenas has leadership potential because he has a willingness to figure it out. I don't think many personnel people think Crawford is that willing a player.

Clearly, Arenas is better, but I'm more interested in the trade- Jared Jeffries for Jamal Crawford? Can we still try to do that?
