Kwame grows up.

Looks like David Aldridge borrowed Wilbon's article as source material. Still, it is some good press on Kwame yet again.

He's so mature for his age.

Kwame talking about Juan as if he (Kwame) is a cagey veteran, that quote cracked me up.
Good article though.
I wonder what life would have been like for him last year had Jordan decided not to play.

Kwame Brown
He has a bright, bright future ahead of him.
Hes a 6'11" PF, with good handles for his size, good athelticism, good shot, good defender. With time, those skills will become even better. He has a chance to become a great PF in the NBA. I wish him and the Wizards the best of luck this season(until they play the Bulls )

I to love the kids game and have been down since day 1 I think we made the right pick last year and he's only gonna get better, next year I predict he'll become a star with another summer of work and getting stronger, he just needs to continue to focus every night and improve he needs to be alittle more agressive on the offensive boards but he's going to be special. He got 13 and 6 again tonight playing against Horry which isn't too bad he made a couple real nice plays tonight, he needs to hit the boards a little harder and remain in double figures rebounding.

I dont mind if he has an off rebounding game or two. Look at tonight. Stack, Russell, Hughes, and Haywood all hit the boards tonight. The Wizards ae an excellent at team rebounding, and its going to make kWAME's rebounding numbers look meager at times...what we do know is that he is a good rebounder, and when they come in his direction, he gets em.

Kwame has looked great, just great. I saw some of him last night on ESPN against LA, and I saw some Kwame action against Boston on ESPN a couple of weeks ago and he looks like a totally different player than a year ago. It just goes to show you what a little bit of confidence and 1 year experience can do for a player.

Kwame is good but I'd still rather have Chandler. But that has more to do with what we the Bulls need as a team, compared to what Kwame has to offer. ALthough Kwame has put up really great block numbers in a couple of games, Chandler's numbers project to something similar given the same minutes. It does make me wonder how Kwame is doing so much better in this area this year and Chandler is not. Perhaps it is a change in attitude. Bottom line is that Kwame is getting good minutes and he's producing well in those minutes. Having experienced players like Russell in the line up with him helps too. But overall Chandler still seems to have a greater defensive upside than Kwame and that's why I like him on our team. If he can learn to stay on his feet and not commit so early, he can become a great defender. I'm looking foward to Kwame vs Chandler match-ups in the future. Should make for a good show (if chandler can stay out of foul trouble ).

Kwame vs Chandler
Kwame has less pressure on him this year. Last year, he was taken #1 by perhaps the greatest player in NBA history. Talk about pressure. No one will ever have that much pressure put on them as he did, I'm sure. After all the talk about MJ and Kwame taking the Wiz to the playoffs, its amazing Kwame made it through the season in one piece. Kudos to MJ for "protecting" him somewhat.....after all, he was only 18/19.
Now its different. MJ and Stackhouse are a great 1-2 punch. Both can score seemingly at will. This takes enormous pressure off Kwame to score. And his game has improved. He can score not because his team desperatly needs it to stay alive, but because hes in position to- be it an open look, drive, etc. Hes a lot more confident, and with a better bench than last year, its easier on him.
Chandler and Curry still have Rose, and now Marshall and Williams; but neither is as good as the Stack/Jordan combo. There still is a lot of pressure on them to perform.
Kwame handled the pressure......Chandler and Curry are beginning to.
