I am almost in the resign Etan camp now because I look around the league, and I see that there really isnt much left to sign. This concerns me, and I also do not want to see a division rival get a guy we just let them have. I would rather Etan go west then see him stay in the East and play for the Bucks.

I'm feeling this way also. I think we're at the point of having some continuity and would hate to break someone knew in at this point.
Plus I have the utmost respect for Terry Porter as a coach and think if he got someone like Etan he might do more with him than we would . But also like you said giving Eta to a divison riveal wouldn't be smart to do.
Now I wasn't that high on Haywood going into last season but he proved me wrong. I thought before lat season he was the type of center to chase shot blocks so much that he'd get outta rebound postion and give up the boards. But last season he stopped chasing shot blocks all over the floor stayed closer to the paint and became a much better rebounder. Offensively he finally put together some fundamentals he stopped bringing the ball down so often he started holding it above his head and outting it back in strong, He developed a short jump shot , and some hooks and even a fadeaway. He did well in limited minutes , seems like EJ favored Etan more often than not but it wasn't because Haywood wasn't productive.
You know who I'm really high on as a coach, Phil Hubbard. All of our big guys made improvement last season and I give hubbard the credit. As a player Hubbard was limited talent wise so he had to do all the little things footwork wise and skill wise.
Every game I went to he and the bigs had worked up a good lather working out on different moves and footwork things.
I went early most times to watch him work out our big guys.
I thought Kwame, Etan and Haywood had their best years as a pro.
I like him much more than I liked Ewing whom I must say and I don't like saying this looked really lazy as our coach he didn't look that enthusiastic. Gtown saved themselves alot of hustle not hiring Ewing.
But Hubbard gets them to doing the small things.
I expect our bigs to take another leap forward this season after working with Hubbard some more.
Kwame is gonna break out big I got a feeling. He taught Kwame last season how to play big. Kwame's jumper suffered but he finally developed the post game if Hubbard adds Kwame's jumper back into his arsenal watch-out.
We really need to keep Hubbard around.
