His article about Jordan in hilarious. He writes about how MJ must play according to the whim of his coach, and with uncertainty. Walton should realize that there probably has not been a '6th" man quite like MJ who will enter every game at a certain point, and play according to how the team is doing. MJ will get his minutes, the only reason to have him come off the bench is to better control those miutes, not because MJ is unable to start.
It sounds to me as if Walton is reliving the stint he had to play as a 6th man and trying to equate that to what MJ is doing. They were comletely different circumstances, and Walton just can't see it with his limited viewpoint. The guy accomplished a lot overcoming things to be where he is now, but that does not excuse the idiotic comments that continuously spew from his mouth.
