Official Thread: Wiz vs. Jazz 11/14/2002
I'm going to see this one at MCI. I think either L8 or Oak will have some time in this one guarding Malone. I remember how Malone used to kill Weber and he will do the same to Kwame, ET or JJ. They just don't have the experience yet.
With that said, I don't see us going below .500 at home. I predict a win.
I need your offiical predictions and comments here.

I think we win this one. MJ and Stackhouse will respond, and I think Kwame will respond to the challenge Jeffries is throwing out there with his hustle. The jazz just don't scare me.

I'm predicting the Jazz win this one. Calbert will probably be the random BCH talks about stepping up and drilling the Wiz.
It's a tough five game trip for the Jazz though; @Boston, @New York, @Wash, @Detroit, and @Toronto.
But I can see the Jazz looking at this as a very winnable game, and think they will bring a lot of effort against the Wiz.
Jazz win 92-86

I smell a 2 game lull coming from Stack and I see Kwame also being roasted by Malone, Stockton will cause problems too. The Wiz I still think win this one with MJ, Lue and Russell being factors, Russell will have his best game this season with 16 points and tenacious defense with the 1st of 3 REVENGE GAMES THIS SEASON . Russell ,hughes and Stack have revenge games coming this season.

I think the Wiz will bounce back from the lost against Seattle. Stack will play a lot better and we will get a total team effort and win this game. 95-88

Well I hope Washington wins One thing I've noticed is, I think they need a defensive specialist or someone who is in the line up strictly for defense. It seems when the Wizards give up some points they give it up very quickly and then have to play catch up like last night Charles Oakly is good at defense but he is getting old. Anyway I hope the Wiz take out Utah. I think they're on TNT with EJ, Kenny, and Charles thursday night

I don't think we lose this one. We are tough as nails at home...it took blistering shooting for the Sonics to beat us, and I dont think the Jazz don't have that same type of firepower. Stockton and Malone are classic Wizard/Bullet killers, but we have players that can guard the pick and roll alot better than previous seasons.
Wiz 98- Jazz 91

I predict a win for the wiz.
BRuss wants that win soo badly and MJ won't let him down.
Also look for Stack to have a better game than against seattle.
and for kwame it should be another big test, malone isn't the man he used to be.

Going to go get some liquid before the game. I'm going to try to get there early to see who works out the most. Juwan was always out there early.
I expect to see an appearance of the Oak tree tonight.

I work a couple blocks from MCI, and I should go to the game. However, I am going home to watch it on the tube.

After the smack Russell has talked it would be a hollow win IMO unless he contributes bigtime. He needs to back up his comments in the Washington Post and on local Salt lake City radio on the court. I think it will be a very competive game. It depends on which Utah team shows up tonight. The Jazz need to get some wins and I predict they will tonight. Final score 95-88.

Russell's contributions to the game are not merely quantified by his stats in one game. Any win by this team is done with a large contribution to the ethic and hustle of a guy like Russell.

Wiz put on a free throw clinic to seal the win. Good win for them, these kind had a tendency to slip away from them in the past.

All I have to say is that Laettner is back to sucking.
Collins' sphincter must be puckering up quite tightly for him to stick with Laettner for so many minutes. Then as Jeffries started to get abused by Padgett he didn't know what to do. He went small at the wrong time to try and get "experienced" guys on the floor and paid for it when Utah got the offensive rebound on missed shots about 7 times in a row. Apparently Kwame is back to the short leash. I may have to send Doug some Metamucil.
Amazingly Oakley wins this one for the Wizards. The official Oakley Scorecard is: +1.
