times article Gilbert says Heat don't have enough as well as Kwame update.

http://washingtontimes.com/sports/20...3044-4758r.htm

Now this is why I like Gilbert Arenas because of the competitve fire. This is why I think he is so salvageable in his style of play more so than Hughes. Gilbert wants to win and thats unquestioned.

He says basically that the Heat gave up too much to get Shaq and that Wade and Eddie jones aren't Kobe Bryant. That Shaq is gonna find it harder without Kobe . And that Wade showed in the Olympics that he can't shoot the ball nor can Wade carry a team. Also the tasty dig that Shaq is likely to miss his annual 15 games.

He said its okay for them to have the media spotlight because he thinks we can get it done.

I feel the same way he does quite frankly.

And on a sour note Kwame is likely to miss training camp the article says.

Arenas is such an enjoyable player to have on the team. You just get the impression he'd give his right leg if it meant the team could become a winnner.

Disappointing news on Kwame, but if that's what it takes to be able to play come opening night, it's better than rushing.

Arenas has no class, sad to say that since he played for UofA.

You don't call out a respected player in the league and say he proved he couldn't shoot. Especially if your Arenas and argueably better if at all.

Wrong. Dwyane Wade can't shoot. If he can't handle the truth, then he probably should learn how to shoot. I see nothing wrong with GA calling out his counterpart on a divisional rival.

I agree, I think teams are gonna play him real different now that they know he has no jumpshot.

He's a good talent but was given more credit for the success of last years Heat team than he deserved probably.

I think the heat have been annoited when they have real weaknesses with their team. Gilbert is right to feel if healthy the Wizards can win its why you compete.

Guess we'll get more of a prognosis on Kwame in a few days when they have the media day. About how much longer he will be out.

I agree with Shanghai though having kwame miss camp and games could throw chemistry off for when he comes back.

Kwame won't be full strength Kwame until December the way I figure it I guess we should expect a slow start by him.

Gilbert is going to be the modern day Charles Barkley when it comes to trash talking.

I'm telling people, he's the most cocky player in the league outside of Kobe . I love his comments and find it hilarious that he's calling out overhyped Wade, those two should naturally be rivals.

Arenas is trying to instill some confidence to the team. Hopefully his teammates take up the challenge and don't back down.

We agree about this. I think Wade is overhyped BUT I like him as a player. I think he has serious game but he has obvious flaws that the Wade is like Kobe people fail to realize. He's no where near in Kobe's league.

I like what the rivalry could become. The Wizards need to become rivals with someone. I like it. Time to mix it up and develop an identity.

I like Arenas's bravado, he's tough minded I hope this sort of thing translates to playing tough defense because if it does Arenas could really raise some hell.

While Gilbert runs his mouth your frontline of Kwame and whatever BS C starts for you are on their knees ready to kiss the ring!!!

Who do you think Shaq is gonna take his anger out on while Gilbert is dropping bricks from 3pt land???

For all the mental midgets on this board that think Wade cant shoot you should really STOP kidding yourselves!!!If you watched Heat games last season you would know that Wades mid range jam is really nice but that his 3 ball still needs work!!!

The reason Wade shot so poorly (just like everyone else on the team) in the Olympics is Larry Brown!!!He had everyone so scared/hesitant to shoot that they werent even releasing the rock right when they did take shots!!!
