New Starting Lineup

pg- Lue

sg- Stackhouse

sf- Jordan

pf- Jeffries

c- Brown

Haywood and Russell's ineptitude on offense gets em benched. Hughes hasn't played terribly, but I would prefer that he and Juan come off the bench together and share the pg duties....they played very well together during the preseason, and should get paired together in the backcourt for short stretches of time. I also feel that Lue and Jordan have a good feel for each others game.

I still believe the Wizards should really make a run at Mike Miller. We need someone who can spread the floor and rebound at that position, and Miller can do that. If I were Wiz management, I would be willing to give up anything short of JJ, Stack and Kwame.

I'm not opposed to this although, I still like Hughes starting at point. It is obvious that it will take Juan serious time to become a point even to the level of Hughes.

I still Russell's time decreasing signigicantly and JJ getting more time in his place.

Haywood's hands frustrate me to no end. He just can't catch. We have two of them now, he and Jahadi.

L8 - $5,062,500 - 2002/03, $5,625,000 - 2003/04, $6,187,500 - 2004/05 - Damn!

Actually, in that Lineup, Stack should be playing SF. Make him guard the bigger guys to keep MJ fresh.

another option!

Lue
Jordan***
Stackhouse
Thomas
Brown

Hughes (pg)
Dixon (sg)
Russell
JJ
Haywood

(***taking MikeDc's advice)

NEW I also like Hughes starting, but it seems that when he and Jordan are on the floor together, he becomes even more tentative. Juan isn't ready for pg duties, but when Hughes is in the backcourt with him, he can actually play off the ball (much like he did in the preseason when he was successful), deferring much of the ballhandling duties to LH.

Now Ive also decided to switch JJ with Etan. Etan is a better defensive rebounder than JJ (and Haywood), and is also a better positional defender. In addition, I feel that Etan's game better compliments Kwame, who is more of an inside/out type of player.

we definitely have to change something!
lue for hughes and mj for russell, with stack at SF and MJ is good to start with.
I am really shocked after having found out that the wiz lost to houston and the grizzlies (I was on holidays and as I am from Italy there is no TV coverage of the NBA and I had no chance to find out the results until today)
so you can imagine that I am pretty frustrated right now because i was sure that we would win at LEAST one of these two games!
man, I'm really frustrated. Can someone please explain why we lost to the grizzlies?? did they play that good or did we have a terrible night?? i saw stacks box score, going 4-19 (!!), maybe that was the problem.
i really hope that they change their starting lineup if things don't start to fall in place.
peace, greetings from europe!

(and i hope you understand my English)

I love this line-up local , I agree with all your assesments and adjustments I've been thinking of just this line-up. Lue gives us outside shooting, Mj and Stack gives us the 1-2 punch and Etan gives us the inside toughness as well as agressiveness on the offensive boards plus he can guard the 4's and 5's with no problem, we can play Hughes on the ball with the reserves and let Juan get some time guarding the 1's and shooting, JJ can be that spot defnder for the athletic jumpshooting pf's Antoine Walkers, Nowitzki's etc, and Russells can d up if a three starts to use too much size. WE HAVE TO DO THIS OR ELSE alot of teams have improved and I firmly believe with MJ in the starting line-up ,Kwame will get easy buckets as well as whomevers playing center because he as a knack of finding big guys when teams pay too much attention to him hell Popeye got a contract off of it last year.

Good stuff Local just hope the wizards see it that way and then we could really start playing the right way and make some noise.
