Lue has been one of the most consistent players for the Wizards this season. He has provided steady play at the PG spot as a backup to Hughes. He hits his shots, and does well to get the team in its offense. His defense is not perfect but it is scrappy and harrassing. He is a bargain at his current salary.

I really like Lue he has a good 3pt stroke, doesn't force bad shots, and can create a shot when he's against the shot clock, he's good in transition, and defensively he's pesky, the only downsides I see with his game are his size and him not being a great ball handler, he's a solid back up pg, he's no great passer sort of an overdribbler, but I'd sign him to a couple more years contract, he has improved over last year and may improve more in the future, he's still a young player, matter of fact right now I wouldn't be mad if we started him over Hughes he's a much better shooter and doesn't turn the ball over much.

beez,
apparently you have not seen the wiz play this season. lue has been awsome so far, and imho should start over hughes. please stop writing about it, as you are obviously worng.
as far as stack issue goes (him testing the market and all), didn't jason kidd and rashard lewis also test the market? didn't they also sign back with their teams?
moreover, i don't remeber anyone talking about wiz winning the east. the highest prediction i saw was 5th spot. so to answer your question (why we are so mediocre?), because we are supposed to be. look at our roster. aside from l8 and oak, we don't have a big man with more than 3 years of exp.

You said he was grossly overpaid....i simply said he isn't based on his production.
You need to take a deep breath and just calm down.
oh and by the way, Lue went to Nebraska...not Stanford.

You know what you are correct. I did mean to write Nebraska so I will give that to you. I dont dislike Lue by any means. He has never done anything to Philly to make me dislike him. Hes one of AI's biggest highlights.

I don't see why conclusions about the Wiz or any other team for that matter have to be made after 13 games, I have said before and contend that I could see a scenario in which the Wizards come out of the east also I could see a scenario in which they miss the playoffs, in the East things are very volatile and can change with the help of a winning streak, right now things aren't going well but they change sometimes as evidenced by last years turrnaround, it could happen just give it time to unfold is all I say, before discounting the Wizards from reaching lofty goals.
