Jordan set to retire
Jordan's Retirement
He says hes just filling out the rest of the contract. So much for wanting to win. Sorry washington, maybe you'll do good in the lottery.

Yea, he should have never have come back. I never wanted to see Jordan play again if i knew that he wouldnt be like the old Jordan. I didnt want to see him hurt his legacy as the greatest ever. I wanted to see him leave on top of the world which is what he did after winning his 6th title.
Its past time for him to retire. I dont think that MJ knew how tough it would be to come back and i didnt think he would expect his competition to be this good.
And who for crying out loud ever wanted to see Jordan come off the bench?

I loved watching the old master play, even if it was to come off of the bench. MJ is an icon and his basketball IQ is high and add to that his will to win - it made it easy for me to watch him play and help teach the young players on the Wizards!

What the hell does that have to do with Wizards not wanting to win and winning, they're going to have a good year so whats changed. Most wizards fans figured this was it anyway so this really isn't a revelation here for the Regular Wiz fans and posters. he has given DC area fans a taste of the greatness that defined him and he's going to shoot his last shot as a member of the Wizards not the Bulls in the playoffs no less. We won't be joining the Bulls in the Lebron sweepstakes.
People talk of tarnishing legacy's way too much, you live one life and you do with it what you wish. He's still considered the greatest by most people and he still has 6 rings. And he's passed down to our young players principles that will help them as their careers unfold. MJ being here has been great and I have more respect for him Now than I did before.

Jordan retiring? Really? You'll have to forgive me, but I'll believe it when I see it...

As much as I have enjoyed his latest comeback, I feel that he would have been better off staying away. Having his fade aways blocked by Paul Pierce or Kobe is not the way I would like to see him go. It is not sad... far from it, but it is disappointing to see him as a shadow of what he was, and no matter which way you look at it, that is what he now is.
Also, his comeback catapulted Washington into playoff contention last year without ever really threatening to do any damage, thereby costing the Wiz a higher draft pick in June.
Though I bet he boosted attendance, huh?

What's the big deal? MJ said he would only come back for two years and this being his second year means he's retired after this year! There's no way he'll be back nor do I expect him to come back next year mainly because of his age and knee condition. Also Jordan will be back in management for the Wizards so he's not dropping the Wizards by any means. He only came back to help his team that he is trying to build unlike the Bulls management who keep trading away all their young talent! Basically MJ is saying this is his farewell tour and the Wiz better play like it! I've enjoyed seeing him play and I don't mind him coming off the bench if the starting line up/offense can ever get it together

And if you think Jordan is too old, too slow, doesn't have it any more, can't keep up, has no fire, has no determination, has ruined his legacy, is no longer one of the greatest players then "GO JUMP ON SOMEONE ELSE'S BANDWAGON" like Wack and the Fakers oops I mean Shaq and the Lakers

Well, we've seen two retirements already. If he un-retires again, he's going to have more comebacks than Larry Holmes.
