Wiz fans don't despair we've been here before.

I think that although the Wizards have lost 6 straight games that there's still hope for the season and they'll come out of this funk. Last year they were 2-9 and looked much worse than this and they came out of it. MJ is starting now and against the sixers tonight they played better than they have any point this year. This is the bottom for the Wizards, every team has bad patches and the Wiz are in one now. They'll beat the Bucks on Tuesday as they start to turn things around.

why

MJ's starting
They've discovered Dixon
Stacks out of his slump, aided by MJ relieving some pressure off of him by starting and playing more minutes. Its bad now but it'll be fine.

Yeah, but they were supposed to be "title contenders." I don't know, right now they haven't shown much against any of the top teams in the East.

I honestly want to know who thought the Wiz were going to be title contenders?

I for one don't expect them to win a Championship (although it would be nice) but I do expect them to be a little better than they are right now

Its too early to seal the teams fate. I can't really say where I thought they'd be. I am sure they're a playoff team and I stick by that . In the east things can change and no one has a firm grip on things, well maybe the pacers do right now but there's still a long season ahead. The Wizards have had alot of roster turnover so it just takes time to jell. Everything will be fine now that MJ's starting.

That's what David Aldridge and Mike Wilbon said. Don't shoot the messenger!

I thought they'd be doing better. I thought the guys we had were smart enough to know how to beat a zone instead of just shooting jump shots like they seem to be doing.

Sizing up the east, I think the Pacers and Sixers are the creme of the crop. I thought the Deke trade would sink the Sixers, but it's made them stronger. To top things off, they're getting healthy. They're gonna win the Atlantic I think. Boston, New Jersey, Detroit, and New Orleans all look like playoff teams at this point.

That only leaves two spots left to be fought over between the Magic, Bucks, Hawks, Raptors, and us.

The Magic have the best record right now, but I think they might be the most likely to fall apart at some point. Miller and Hill have chronic bad ankles and McGrady has a chronic bad back. How can they possibly hold up over the course of the season?

The other teams, I think we're about even with. It's gonna be a hard fight.
