Jarvis looking like veteran.
Jarvis has really been awesome so far. He really looks like the veteran on the court. He's taking good shots on offense, making good passes, and posting up a bit. On defense he getting a few steals and being solid. He's just not forcing his shots he's taking what comes to him. Anyone else notice this?

He looks a lot sharper out there. Not trying to do more than he has to on offense, pulling down excellent boards from the swing spot, better work on defense than in the preseason; he's like a high-scoring super role player through two games.
Granted, no way he's going to get 41 MPG forever, but the 7.5 RPG and 14-16 FT shooting is helping us a lot with our inside guys out. Of course the 18.5 points aren't too shabby either, although the shooting still needs to come up. For someone that has had such a rep as someone who nails shots, he's only managed to shoot a bit over 33% through these first two games.
Heh but I've probably said more than enough about two games' worth of stats. It's his actual play that is looking good, regardless of the numbers. We're going to have to figure out how to keep getting him good burn once Kwame gets back and Jamison moves back to SF. Hughes better start watching his back or else he'll see Hayes stealing some of his time.

Jarvis has really improved, he's in much better shape. he's moving wonderfully off the ball which is leading to his better looking in rhythm shots.
Still the occasional foolish post up but overall he's emerging .
I think he's gonna take Hughes's spot its just a matter of time. Hayes is gonna be a star in 2 years the kinda player who averages 20+ a game. He only needs to add alittle more dribble to his game.
He's competing hard defensively also.
I'm loving what I'm seeing out of our young players.
Hayes, Dixon and Haywood have improved immensly from last season.

Only for one season I presume. He's gonna get undeserving money this offseason, and I don't think Grunfield will pay him overrated starter money as a backup.
As far as Jarvis, everyones said it. He looks a lot more mature. You can tell he knows what to do, and now thats caught up with his ability to do the right things.

He sprained his ankle in practice along with his first injury, but he expects to be back before December.
