Official Thread: Wiz @ Det 12/4/2002
We take on Rip and the surprising Pistons. I think Rick Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league. He seems to know Xs and Os really well and I'm sure picked up some things from Bird on handling players.
I think we win and we handle Rip fairly well. With all of these winning predictions I'm starting to sound like Schotzers.

This will be a tough game. I expect we will lose but we will play well. It will be the rare good loss.

The Pistons own us like the Cowboys own the Skins.
For some reason, random stiffs like Cliff Robinson or Jon Barry find a way to kill us. Tonight, it'll probably be Chucky Atkins.
That being said, I'll go with the Zards. I think Collins is slowly figuring it out.

Yeah Barry, will hit a half court shot to end a quarter.
It is always some crap like that with the Pistons.

Uncle Cliffy a random stiff? he has averaged 16 ppg for his career on 44% fg he can play inside or outside. He has made the all defensive team before and is a former sixth man of the year award winner. Sure sounds like a stiff to me

I hate both Barry's they give the Wizards hell. Jon gave me the finger at last years game so I hope the Wizards whip their a--, I think we get a rare road W. I think MJ and Stack have big games and Etan holds his own against Wallace. Williamson always gives the Wizards a hard time also. Stack will have the kinda game he's looking for, the wiz are about to play well for a strectch. We lead wire to wire.

Yeah I know he is not a stiff. I like him a lot actually. He just killed us last season when it counted. You would have to follow the Wizards to understand that it is not the star that takes them out. It is the guy like Cliffy or Barry at the end of the game, which happened to the Wizards on separate occassions last season versus the Pistons.
I get to watch this one tomorrow morning at 130AM as I am going to be out this evening. Good stuff.

I don't know about this game ... Like BCH said the Pistons always find a way to win a game against the Zards ... I remember that Barry shot at the buzzer ... (Pissed me off ) ... but I believe that Stack is going to step up 2nite against his former team and I expect Jordan and another one of our bench players are going to show up ... Wiz wins 87-83

Great game ,finally a quality win. The guys showed toughness at both ends although they didn't shhot it that well some thoughts.
Laetner played his a-- off, he trapped, hustled to cover his man and hit a couple big jumpers. Best effort from him in a whole year. Stats won't show it but he got the job done in the 2nd half. He deserves credit.
Haywood was lousy in the 1st half, but brillant in the 2nd half, he hit the boards hard for 2nd shots and was just very active around the basket.
Hughes was also terrific, his energy level was fantastic. He defended well and rebounded well. He also shot the ball with confidence best game as a wizard.
Kwame only played the 1st half but was big in the 2nd quarter. Scored 7 pts and was active in helping the wizards stay in the game.
MJ and Stack played really strong tonight. Neither really shot well but showed toughness on the defensive end. Hounded Rip in the 2nd half. Stack showed the resilency that I've been looking for he didn't shoot well but was still a big factor. Didn't get down because of the missed shots he played well.
Here come the Wizards.
