Id rather loose by 40 than like that. overall the wizzards played ok after some questionable officiating. Mark Jackson camped in the lane all day long as did Dalembert, no 3 second calls what soever

This is awful , just horrible.

Bad pass by Hayes, bad pick by Hughes, bad in Arenas releasing to early on the play, bad loss.

We are just a terrible defensive team the Sixers struggle to score and we just gave up 116 points.

Made Jackson, Korver, and other look like Stars.

We just can't defend.

Great 4th by Hughes and Arenas they really came on late.

Hughes was spectacular quite frankly.

Arenas was good offensively horrid defensively.

Jamison was terrible defensively great offensively.

Haywood gave up 20 or so to Jackson. After having a solid game himself.

We didn't get much from our bench outside of Hayes.

Just a horrible game.

We can score with anyone we're an explosve team which gives us a chance but we gotta get better on D.

The Wizards were very clutch, until the last play. Iverson just made a great play.

Impressive effort from the Wizards, I didn't think it would be as close of a game as it was. Kyle Korver's shooting has been eye-popping this year, just incredible the rate at which he's nailing treys. The Wizards now have to play another road game at Toronto, where the Raptors are 5-1 so far this season.

The loss hurts bad because we had a great shot to win it than AI just broke our hearts. Why would you have Jarvis Hayes making in the inbounds pass? Philly knew it was going to Arenas because in the exact same situation last year we gave it to Gilbert and he hit that buzzer beating 3.

I'm not down on the team really, Philly played playoff level basketball and Korver and Iverson both had two of their best games of the season. You can talk about bad defense or whatever, but the Wiz had the ball in a posistion to win and AI gets a fastbreak steal at the buzzer, what can you do? Arenas and Hughes didn't really even turn it on until the 4th.

Jamison taking long range jumpers= huge mistake. He airballed a 3 at the end that was like a wtf type shot.
These are the type of games where IMO Jamison isn't effective in the clutch.

Jarvis Hayes is clutch, he hit an impossible 3. I don't think that shot was luck either, he really has the feel or a guy that can hit any kind of jumper in any kind of posistion.

Larry Hughes, wtf? The guy always looks like Kobe/MJ in the 4th quarter of games. Driving dunks, reverse layups, 3-pointers. Why can't he ever play with that much intensity in the first half of games?

Don't you think its more than coincidental that in our 5 losses we've gave up an average of over 112 points. Thats horrible defense in this current NBA.

We aren't defending we made Korver look like Rick Barry tonight. and Jackson was playing like Karl malone in the paint that can't happen, you deal with AI's numbers but those others are just unacceptable. Korver can shoot it but he was open most of the game.

Hughes was spectacular late. He took over the game his drives were just sweet.

You seem to be overly hard on Jamison he carried us for 3 quarters , Arenas and Hughes needed to start earlier. He had nothing left late which is okay. Arenas and Hughes let him down for the most part. If they start earlier we could have cruised.

I'm glad to see though that they can step up and turn bad games into good ones at the snap of a finger.

We are the best offensive team in the East but one of the worst defensive ones also.

Which makes us a .500 team.

Maybe once Kwame gets cranked up our D improves. If it does just a little bit the East better watch-out.

Before this game, I was really looking forward to Juan Dixon playing. I thought after hearing of his improvement during the preseason that he was going to look good, and perhaps be a player the Sixers sign to play SG next year.

After watching the game, no thanks.. the guy is a black hole and a tweener, Wizards made a great move by not picking up his option.

Antawn Jamison right now in the post-suspension NBA is an All-Star no doubt about it. He has an unorthodox style, but he's a handful for both SFs and PFs. I'll try watching him more this season to gauge his performance, since all PFs are practically scoring at a lot against the Sixers.

The rebounding situation was ugly, I'm surprised the Sixers were able to pull it out while letting the Wizards get so many defensive rebounds. Sixers really need to find a way to get a legit PF, one who could stretch the defense by stepping out 18 feet and hitting an occasional jumper.

Hey, and a question.. Steve Blake doesn't play anymore?

Hey, and a question.. Steve Blake doesn't play anymore?
The theory jazzy has on Dixon, one that I've agreed on, is that he plays better the less competition he has. When he knows how many minutes he'll be getting and where, he is less worried about scoring 20 points and more worried about doing whatever is necessary for the team to have the best chance of winning. Add in another variable, such as Blake coming off the IL, and he gets worried. He tries to shoot and steal his way into convincing everyone that he is the one that deserves minutes instead of the other guy. Needless to say, it's a bad idea, and he usually manages to have three bad weeks for every good one.

Blake hasn't played for a few reasons really. First is the easy one, the fact that he's rusty. He missed the entire training camp, preseason, and season up until about a week ago. We figured it'd take a couple of weeks for him to round back into form. Second, it's tricky to find him minutes at the moment. Most night Arenas gets closer to 45 minutes than 35, so that's obviously rough. However, the kicker is that Hughes has been playing some 38 a night since Blake's return instead of the more expected 30-32. It means that it isn't as easy to run the Blake-PG Arenas-SG lineup as it was last year. There's only maybe 18 backup minutes at both guard spots behind the two, so it's tough to spread around.

The final reason is that Dixon is still riding a bit of his excellent play from the first week of the season into getting the few backup minutes available. Dixon's good weeks usually fade out of everyone's minds after a few dud games, but this one was possibly his best week ever. With some luck, people will have forgotten about Dixon's hot start by the time Blake round back into game shape shape a week or two from now.

Blake isn't some phenominal backup or anything, but he's more steady. His highs aren't as good as Dixon's, but his lows aren't as bad. Considering there are a lot more lows than highs, I prefer the steady but unspectacular Blake to the wild but (rarely) spectacular Dixon. Just my prediction, but I think Blake will be back to getting 14-16 minutes as the main backup guard by the time the calendar year is out.

Maybe I stick to my guns too much, but I can't give it to Hughes unless he learns how to do something in the game's first 42 minutes. Jamison didn't do much for the last 6 minutes (or OT), but he once again carried us up until that point. I'll say what I did last time -- without Jamison's carry job for the first 85% of the game, Hughes doesn't even get the chance to show off his heroics in the last 15%. It's scary how good Hughes would be if he could play at half of his end-game level for the first 3.5 quarters.
