Not exactly.
For me, it's too early for these rankings to mean anything. I still think we're better than the Wizards. They were at home and we were without Mobley and Cato, and they didn't "spank" us. I do wish we were flying under the radar like them.

I think Orlando has a better team than Washington, but like Hobo, I don't like seeing us that high in power rankings. Orlando has been pretty lackluster on the road and right now we've been winning games with crazy runs during games, not with consistency. And we had two games that Francis won at the end that could have just as easily have been losses.
Right now we've got Mobley out, Francis has been up and down, some guys are shooting very poorly ... Pat Garrity and Tony Battie have terrible FG%s right now. And Francis and Hill are making a lot of bad turnovers. Francis' are expected and probably won't change, but as the season goes along, i'd expect Hill's turnovers to go down as he continues to shake off 4 years of rust.
For now, i'd rather be sitting farther down in the power rankings.

I wouldn't say Dwight is better than Jamison.

Yeah you definetly lost all your credibility right there.
From what I have seen, the Magic are a totally different team on the road. Francis in particular seems to struggle on the road. They're usually great at home though, and just having a great homecourt advantage can get you into the playoffs.
I like the Magic getting more hype though. The Wiz can continue to fly under the radar. The Magic now are going to get alot of media attention (and deservedly so) since Hill has made a successful comeback. I think everybody (even me) figured that the Magic would be good if Hill was back to form and he is. The Wiz don't have anyone to get that kind of media attention so the only way they'll get respect is if they keep winning games.

Honestly, comparing teams by position like that is next to pointless in determining which team is better, but just for the hell of it...
Brendan Haywood = Kelvin Cato
Antawn Jamison > Dwight Howard
Jared Jeffries < Grant Hill
Larry Hughes > DeShawn Stevenson
Gilbert Arenas < Steve Francis
Bench:
Juan Dixon, Jarvis Hayes, Anthony Peeler < Hedo Turkoglu, Tony Battie, Pat Garrity

It is pointless, but just to add, I think when healthy the Wiz's bench is equal if not better than the Magics with Etan Thomas and Steve Blake healthy.

That may or may not be true, but I left off all of the currently injured players, including Cuttino Mobley who could return any day now.

If you're talking about who has more value to a franchise it's certainly Dwight but as far as who's better right now it's Jamison, no doubt.

I'm not going to get too caught up in the rankings at this point. I actually think it's a good thing we aren't getting any respect right now. It works out in our favor given the upcoming schedule. Our next eight games are all extremely winnable (as were the last 3 where we took care of business). We've got to feel disrespected and win 6 or 7 of these games to pad our record before the going gets tough. Honestly, if we slip up and win four or less in the next eight, that could be serious trouble. I really think they'll come through, but I don't want them to get lax just because they are off to a good start.
