As Gilbert said after the game monday night. We have to get a win against the heat we can't let them roll over us.
Thats the way I feel. we're gonna see them in the playoffs most likely and you can't let them have that much confidence against you.
I'm betting Shaq doesn't play that well again. He was making his free throws last game.
I don't know if Wade's gonna play which will play into it.
They played better tonight than they have all season with Wade in there. So him being in or out makes little difference.
I'd rather have Wade play because it lessens the amount of times they go into Shaq. With Wade out Shaq got into a real good flow.
With Wade there they push the ball more makes it a more up and down game and gets us in transition because they will make to's playing a faster pace against us gambling for steals.
With just Shaq its slowed down and alot of pounding.
We can win this game , we need to win this game.
If not we're still on pretender status to some people.
This is about respect.

It's too bad we don't stack up well to the Heat. The Heat are good, losing to them doesn't take away what we have done thus far this season. It's a shame we have had to play them so early, so much. I do agree though, that mentally the Wizards need to know they can beat the Heat. Hopefully if we win Wednesday, we can gain more confidence then we had when we won seven out of nine against lesser opponents.

I have a feeling will win this. just a hint though.
some keys to the game: - Hughes stops shooting his off balance jumpers that he obviously can't hit over 15% of the time;
- Arenas gets good penetration and gets Shaq is foul trouble;
- Kwame and Hayes get good production off the bench.

I actually think the Wizards will take this one. Miami may be a little cocky after winning 3 in a row against this team to start the season, and after blowing them out the other night. On the other hand, Washington is going to be hungy for a victory. Miami is also a much worse team on the road than they are at home, and they could possibly be without Wade, or at best with a less than 100% Dwyane Wade. Wizards take a tight one, 98-94.

Why don't the Wizards just start Brown now; Jeffries is a low post player if anybody else hasn't noticed... I'll take the 9-4 lead though.

Wiz doing a good job keeping all these in check. Hughes taking good looks. Arenas is getting great penetration with a couple and 1's. and Hayes and Kwame have 6 and 4 points respectivly.
looks good to me.

Only got to catch bits and pieces of the first half, but I did notice a couple things ...
* Hayes is the worst post up player in the league. Nothing new I know, but man did every last one of his attempts look brutal. Not that he's some kind of great jump shooter, but I would so much rather see him outside than in.
* Kwame with six rebounds is good stuff. I honestly don't think Kwame's ever going to be a superstud on the boards, but he shouldn't be grabbing under a half dozen in any game period. 2-3 shooting as well, brining his season field goals to 21-32 or 65.6%.
* Hughes tries way too hard with the gambling. I maintain that Hughes is just an average overall defender at best simply because of the amount of unfulfilled gambles he makes. He also attacks the glass a bit too hard in my opinion. It may seem an odd accusation, but it's not a good thing to always have your guards underneath the basket when a shot is thrown up.

I'm not one to complain about the refs, but there have been more than a couple no-calls that could've gone against the Heat that have hurt. Missing one offensive interference is annoying but understandable, but the 3-4 that have happened this game is just too much.
Down 3 at 96-93 with 10.6 seconds left. This may be the one time all game that I'd like to see Hayes in there. I would so like Arenas to be the one taking this though.
... and Jamison takes an off-balance and slightly rushed shot that bricks with just half of the time having ticked off the clock, so we lose.
