Most of these are taken from
82games. There's no rhyme or reason to most of them, I'm just posting them because they're interesting ...
* 45% of our shots are taken with 14 or more seconds remaining on the shot clock. The league average seems to be around 40%, with Phoenix's 46% being the highest I saw during my skimming.
* Haywood leads the team and is 11th in the entire league in the Roland rankings (team PPG per 48 with the player on the court minus team PPG per 48 without the player on the court). His net is +14.2. Jamison is 24th in the league at +12.4 and Arenas is 28th at +11.8. The next highest Wizard is Hughes at +5.6, which doesn't rank in the top fifty.
* 72% of our shot attempts are considered "jumpers" compared to 28% that can be considered dunks, tips, or in close attempts. Although no specific defintions are given that I can see, for reference Haywood is listed as having 30% of his shots as jumpers.
* The
player tandems page has lots of interesting tidbits. Basically, it outlines how players play when they're on the same court as another player. Interesting to note that Ruffin has a +/- in the negatives with absolutely everyone outside of Haywood.
* The starting lineup of Arenas-Hughes-Jeffries-Jamison-Haywood has the 4th best overall +/- in the entire league. Only the starting lineups of Phoenix, San Antonio, and Sacramento are better. I think the idea is that the bench is not very good.
